Quite an annoying commercial. No wonder Microsoft keeps making products worse with upgrades while improcing a couple of things and of course making it so upgrading is mandatory. Word 2007 sucks compared to 08, Windows 7 stripped away the Delete button from folder view, the network activity icon and more stuff. Hotmail icons are all black now, so it feels like looking at a screen from 1950.

A) Macs aren't '2 or 3 times' the price. Find me a PC that will last 10 years, with an equal quality display build quality, trackpad.speaker and keyboard for under the price of a mac.

B) You are aware you can pirate OSX as well? But when you're over 14 and you have to pay for things to do real work there's a massive difference between paying $29 and $399.

Lion and Snow Leopard and every other one they have are all equivalent to service packs in Windows, the difference being that you dont have to pay for Windows SP's

A windows server patch is to fix the numerous bugs windows has. OSX has something like that. You get them for free every few months. EG: OSX 7.1 and OSX 7.2

@ahmednematallah Yes I am. I find mac superior to linux for development. The only thing linux is good for in my books is hosting the server. There's really no decent IDE's for linux and it can't run xcode (a vital part in my job) so it's worthless.

If you build your own PC and put OSX on it, it is cheaper for the first couple years, but then you have to pay for each "OS" and before you know it, you've spent more on patches than it would've cost you to run Windows

Plus, back then you got to chose the OS you wanted on your machine. Microsoft was in no position to force windows down your throats, it was not pre-installed on your machine and you could easily reformat, reinstall, install something else. Plug your own peripherals which were supplied with their own independent drivers. No activation, no bullshit.
