  • Technoloby really sucks dude.

  • Can be compared with airliners.

Are the most safe way to travel, but when faulty maintenance causes terrible accidents, you most certainly will die.

  • Nuclear Energy, when used correctly is safe.

Radiation must be always confined within the Vessels and that is responsibility of the Power Plant owner.

There are over 120 active reactors of this type in the world and those power plants have safety records.

Used fuel can now be treated in Germany by a GE partner, so radioactive life diminishes a lot, that costs more money and power plants have no obligation to do so.

  • You have some incorrect data.

R&D for those reactors was made by Toshiba, Hitachi and GE in a joint venture.

But were built back 1969 by Kajima and Ebasco.

GE had nothing to do with the construction of the Power Plant Facilities.

GE slogan is: Imagination at Work we bring good things ti life is a very old one.

1998 GE sent warnings to TEPCO in order to reconfigure the vessels due to increasing seismic activity.

  • @heinrichguzmann As for GE slogan, the one stated in the vlog is the only one I recall. Life... yeah now revealed as death. Not just for the failing reactors, but other bad mistakes.

  • @FreeGiraffes It really does not matter which slogan you can recall, no one will get mad with you about that.

What you really need to recall are all the details of those "mistakes" you mention.

Forbes states: GE is World Leader in R&D clean energy sources (nuclear included).

e.g. this failure in Japan was made by TEPCO.

Is like buying a very nice and modern Bugatti and hand it out to a 6 year old.

  • @heinrichguzmann Aside from the premise that GE designed system may or may not be sufficient and safe, it was the decision as to where they situated the plant. Who decided that? TEPCO? or tepco under the guidance of GE?

  • The SOBs are setting themselves up for electrocution.

  • @protester Just like a death penalty.

  • I said years ago, that nuclear power was a bad risk to force on people. Authorities knew long ago, that the more you use cellphones, the higher the risk of cancer. That's why they lowered the cost, i wonder if higher income brackets are using them as much or if they have safer models than I could afford, if I was dumb enough to use one. I never did. My radiation fix comes from my wireless satellite computer. Bless your heart Pete, you're fighting the good fight.

  • Nuclear power in general makes me nervous. In the best case scenario the cost of maintaining nuclear waste is astronomical, and that doesn't touch on the hazards. Yes it makes me nervous. I'm not sure I'm ready to agree about the cell phone issue that concerns you, but it's astounding to me that people can't get by for five minutes without being on one. It would drive me crazy to be in constant contact with people.

  • @kalacaw I also have growing doubts over the nuclear industry.

  • The Nuclear problem is going to grow and continue. I don't know what to do?

  • I gave up my cell phone in a months time. I thought it was bullshit, some people can't leave the house for 2 seconds without b!tching they need to go get their phone. You know what, I don't like people being able to reach me every moment of my life.

  • @ExamineEvaluate Absolutely right! I heard a comedy routine on HBO, I bet 15 years ago, about how wierd it is, that people feel the need to be accessible 24/7. I agree, that's bull.Home is a haven away from the confusion of the world. When I'm home I have a landline. On vacation, I leave the crap where it starts and not drag it with me. Time to trust that the world can survive without constant input by everyone and his brother. .

  • @yafanna3 Technology is helping us yet at the same time its killing us!

  • @ExamineEvaluate Thats amazing. I rarely hear about anyone doing that. Congrats! Dont need the new fangled thang!

  • I've found the value of real life interaction, it's so much more potent than what my generation is addicted to.

  • your so right,, everyone is watching other crap but they should have tuned into your video,, oh well they are missing out,, alot of us feel the same as you do,, thank you for making the video
