  • im just gonna get a 1000 watt system so i aint gotta upgrade anything,

  • Thank you very much, I just got my first mustang 2005, after using VW on.y, and so far I like the car, but I wanted to change the sound system, and I asked my dealer and they wanted me to pay, $600!! But after I checked here and saw your tutorial, today I did it, it took me like 8 hours in doing it, but it was easy just by following the steps, thank you very much, you saved me lots of money, I only paid for few wires but the rest was cheap..

  • does this also apply to shaker 500? looks like mine has 2 speaker grilles on each door pannel? round one on the bottom, then the angled oval one like in this video above it?

  • @LeadSlinger89 The process for replacing the main 6x8" speakers is the same.

  • damn why dont they make it easy to take the speakers out shit

  • I'd like to see this guy put that back together. Its gonna be a bitch lol

  • Great video. I'm tearing up my '07 Cal. Spec. tomorrow and your pointers are very helpful. I would have broken something trying to figure it out myself!

  • what is the speaker harness adapter part number you used for the speaker? I'm about to install a pair of polk mm571 speakers in my 09 and I dont want to splice any wires...thanks

  • Actually, you don't have to remove the rear inside 1/4 panels to change out the rear deck (a.k.a. package tray) speakers. The grilles snap off. Needs no tools, using your fingers only, gently pry up starting in the center of the grill, long-side closest to you as you face rearward. The snap-in tabs are located on the ends, two in front, two in the rear. They pop right off giving you full access to the speakers.

  • @WestForWalnut On the 2005-2006 models, yes, as the video states at 2:27

On 2007-2009 models, you have to take the whole rear apart.

  • @avic411 Okay, thanks for the info (mine is an 05). Great video!

  • @avic411

Not necessary to remove the top corner panel. Refer to the 23 minute clip by motorz and you can see that he left the top panel on. Nice video nevertheless and thanks for posting.

***Forgot to add that the motorz car is a 2008 GT. ***

  • Great video (music is a bit too dramatic though)

  • dude... get a converter for your socket wrench to use those torx bits on the rear speakers... definitely doesnt have to be a nightmare

  • @bustacrab That works for the 2 screws in the front, but not the back.

  • you make popping the covers and such out look so easy! I'm too afraid I'll break anything, haha. Excellent video.

  • Great instructional video..thank you.

  • hey i got a 08 v6 n my speakers are 6x8 n my new 6x9s dont fit wat do i do now?

  • Return the 6x9's, you should have bought 6x8's. There is no way to make 6x9s fit without doing some major cutting.

  • @youngmexi760

    Try mounting from underneath.

  • can u make a video showin and testing/blowing the stock ford speakers?
