It shouldn't be up to the kids or Mel B. The mother wasn't even around for the show, how could Mel inspire or motivate her? If the poverty-mother would keep her legs shut and find even a PART TIME job, her situation would improve. Also, exercising and improving your health will motivate you to improve all aspects of your life, and to feel good about yourself to keep going.
