"Wha-what, come on, pick it up," lol I love how you've been seemingly wrestling with items in your environment. (I also kinda sorta totally wish you'd read these books)
Showing off about prolonging the puzzle - hmm, no longer totally playing the fool, but this annoyed me at the time. heh. As for the ceiling rant... I agree with you.
When you say "And look at that!" I expected you to comment on the bird flying by and then you don't. Gets me every time.
i really like your casual, informative style. and btw, "i still wanna know what the jump key is...... sorry that was terrible" i disagree, it gave me a good chuckle. lol.
I actually like reading in video games, like this example. Morrowind and Oblivion as well. Sometimes, it's important to understand something better and reading is the way to do it.
Some people may think that video games are meant to rot our brains, but I like to think that they can meant to enrich them too.
It be a shame if after moving the hands on the clock and crossing over, that some one else happens to hit the button so that you would be stuck there forever, even though you can probably jump back, with a running start of course.
Ti'ana is actually Atrus's mother. Atrus married a D'ni woman names K'trin, but Atrus kept getting her name mixed up with Catherine that he just stuck with the Englishized name.
@Penfold8 Actually Catherine isn't D'ni. She's Rivenese. You could learn more about how Atrus discovered her and her connection to Ghen in the game Riven. : )
@YLS1989922 Some scenes are a bit eerie indeed. First time I played I nearly jumped out of my skin the first time seeing Achenar... as well as when I opened that chest in his room on Mechanical with the dead monkey's head inside.
@YLS1989922 I got a bit creeped out when I turned on the alarm in stoneship age. It gives a bit of a creepy vibe while you're playing the games alone in the dark for the first time.
@polikia22u A slight correction: Atrus is Anna's (Ti'ana's) grandson. Aitrus (not Atrus) is Anna's late husband before she dies herself. It's easy to confuse the grandfather Aitrus with the grandson Atrus, because their names are so similar.
Yup, that's right. Ti'ana is Atrus's grandmother, Ghen's mother. Ti'ana is her D'ni name, however she mainly went by Anna. She raised Atrus after Ghen abandoned him at birth until Ghen came back to 'claim him' when Atrus was in his early teens. She lived with Atrus and Catherine on Myst after trapping Ghen on Riven.
Yeah, Ti'ana is Atrus's grandmother. You can learn more about her by reading the Myst novels. I actually have Myst: The Book of Atrus. It was a good read and helps explain a lot of the background of the Myst series.
@TimmyTheNerd There's two. The "Book of Atrus" is pre-Myst, and the "Book of Ti'ana" is pre, uh, that last one. Then there's a post-Riven one called the "Book of D'ni". They've sold all three in an omnibus thingie, if you want to check those out. They're fascinating reads.

I head that Ti'ana was Catherine's mother or something and she was responsible for the fall of the D'ni. I heard that on another LP of Riven
