Even with Conduit wondering quite a bit all over the track, he still proved much best ahead of Unsung Heroine and Look Here in this race. Conduit stayed the 1-3/4 trip at Doncaster on this day strongly. No wonder he was able to win the Breeders Cup Turf two times in his career. He stayed out a 1-1/2 standing on his head!!
This is the 2008 running of the Ladbrokes St Leger in Conduit's 3yr.old season. Although he had won some races coming into the 08' St Leger. This was Conduit's first Group 1 victory of his career. Although, he would go on from here to win another Group 1 race or two. LOL. Not only would he go on to do just that. He would go on to become a two-time Breeders Cup Turf champion. Back to back in 2008 and 2009. Conduit was a GREATTTTTTT champion with the hear of a lion and the class of royalty. IMO.
