Beautiful, guys! So blessed to hear this music again. Spent a few years in England and miss it terribly. So appreciative of your ministry right here on youtube! Be blessed! Sean
@Dave4020 -- hi dave - yeah we did add the strings on later. as you can see the stage was pretty full so it wasn't practical to have the strings on stage. Plus we could get a better string sound by recording them on their own.
God I'm a sinner & need forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for me.That He shed His blood for my sins. I believe he was buried & rose again from the dead & is now seated at the right hand of God. I'm willing to turn from my sin. I invite Jesus Christ to come into my heart & life as my personal Savior.Thank you for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation & everlasting life because of your merciful grace. In Jesus name Amen.
God created polio, science cured it. God created small-pox, science cured it. God created leprosy, science cured it. God created 2 million illnesses, virusses, parasites, science found cures for many. God created infertility, science created in-vitro, and an estimated 15 million lives. 100.000 innocent children died a horrible death, beneath the rubble of their houses in Haiti. God was an amuzed spectator. The suffering of the innocent points to the non-existence of a loving god.
I feel enlightened. I once was an atheist. Now im a proud atheist. Thanks to all you christians for giving me the free thinking and education a person could ever need. Thank you so much. I will send you a christmas card.
@Discostunz69 ur most welcome.the free thinking comes as a gift from the Father you can chose to use it how ever u wish..one day i pray you will listen to the truth..as for the education well thats given by man so we cant take the glory for that one. no need for a Christmas card..just send your birthday wishes to your fellow atheists along with your proudness they will enjoy it more than us,as we have the greatest gift that could ever have been given..the gift of eternal life and salvation..GBU

this song is great I have never heard it before but i am the praise and worship leader at our church and we will be adding this to our favorites! awesome job guys!!!
Crikey, i just stumbled upon this. I went to Hull Vineyard church when there was just about I dunno, erm, 30 ppl there about 15 yrs ago. Moved down south now don't you know soon after starting to go so never became part of the furniture. Looks like God is blessing that work, in fact it seems there is quite a lot of God stuff going on in Hull. Praise God!
oooooooooooo...thank you for posting this song!!!! .... i can not believe i found it on YT..
it was one of the first songs that i heard when i met Jesus,i was 12 years old.... it is beautiful!! thank you for posting it! i just started crying...
I was there for this recording, it was at my Church. The album is called Love Divine-set the Captives Free. It was recorded to mark 200years since the abolishing of the slave trade by William Wilberforce and co.
What the same slave-trade that Christians justified and perpetuated for so long? I love the bible, you can get what you want from it - it is a matter of what 'fits' with the current cultural paradigm...with a few 'tweaks' to give you a raison d'etre.
Not exactly. In the book of Philemon, it is made very clear Christianity's stance on slavery. Paul defended a runaway slave that should have otherwise been sentenced to death under Roman law and encouraged Philemon (the owner of the runaway slave) to welcome Onesimus (the slave) back just as Philemon would welcome Paul. The issue is that people ignore Scripture flat out to in order to support their twisted positions.
I realise I was being slightly 'inflammatory!' . I know the book of Philemon - it is a great 'personal' insight into Paul and the christian movement of the time. However my point is still correct...slavery (in its many forms) has been the norm for the majority of time christianity has been a 'factor' in the world and there are many passages in the bible that justify and perpetuate it. Changing economic and social etc circumstances (not revelation) led to its abolition.
You are correct in your assessment that if you pick out bits and pieces of the bible while simply ignoring others, you could come to such a conclusion. However, doing so would be akin to telling a half-truth. The practice of slavery in America for example was in clear violation of Scriptural guidelines.
Concerning personal insight... Paul states that in Christ, he could have ordered Philemon to do the right thing. It was Christ's law, not Paul's thoughts on the subject. Hope this helps :-)
Picking out 'bits and pieces' of the bible is what every (yes every) christian individual and organisation does! That is my point! Of course the pieces 'my group' (or more often 'my' pastor, sect, denomination) choose becomes the 'correct' most 'obvious' interpretation, it is always others who are 'telling a half-truth' at best. A list...Popes/homosexuality/prosperity/hell/women's rights....etc, I'm sure you would agree that these all are/have been matters of some legitimate contention?
There has absolutely been points of contention in those areas, and you are completely correct in pointing out that the issue at hand is picking out bits and pieces as you say. Unfortunately, I do not agree that the itself contention is legitimate :-) Any faithful Christian knows clearly the gospel message -- it's not complicated. Faithful Christians who stand against Scripture *ignore* the truth, but are not *ignorant* of it, so I believe it to be illegitimate.
Thank you for replying so reasonably and constructively (reasonable and constructive on Youtube....?...we will both be barred!); we will not convince each other, but I am pleased to have had our little 'discussion'. .I hope that if your beliefs seem to be in conflict with science and reason you will at least examine the evidence before coming to a conclusion. Best wishes to you......twold4this in sleepy Dorset, UK.
The pleasure was all mine. I'm all for reasonable thought, but the verdict is still out on the scientific community. I do not believe science to be the "be all and end all" (they did believe the earth was flat for a period of time) as new theories are continuously created and debunked. Now science does have its place in math, physics, etc., but only the word of the Lord is immutable and will stand forever. And thank you for the intelligent conversation.....Kenaniah
One thing to keep in mind is that even though slavery is not God's desire, it takes time for human culture to adjust to the truth... centuries perhaps even for paradigms to change. God doesn't force it... it has to come from people having their eyes opened by grace. Far be it from God to be for slavery... after all God's son was sent to deliver us from slavery to sin... the ransom paid to free us.
PS: who is the lady that is singing? She has a lovely singing voice!
WOW! She and her voice are *stunningly* beautiful. I'm stopped in my tracks. I see a true heart, and it cuts deep. It slugs me in the chest to watch. I love it. Perfection. Oh, and the band plays just fine too :)

i like vineyard worship songs, very simple and yet draws your heart to God in an intimate way. They don't have choir because the people themselves are the choir. i wish vineyard songs are available in the philippines. when are you going to sell/bring your stuff here? this nation is being deprived of beautiful worship songs from the vineyard.
The drummer is behind a screen so that the drum mics pick up as little of the sound of the other instruments and the congregation as possible. (You might notice that there is also a roof over the drums with sound absorbing foam designed specifically to reduce the drum sound spilling out onto the stage and into the vocal mics)
This is all very important when recording drums live so that you can mix the drums without adding other sounds.
This is excellent stuff. UK Vineyard seem to get it 'just right' every time. Love Divine album is on permanent rotation at home and in the car. Blessings, all.

An all consuming fire
You're robed in majesty
Bright shining as the sun
Your ways are not our ways
Your thoughts are high above
You are the fountain Lord
Of mercy truth and live (and we cry)
Holy, holy is the Lord God most high
