umm.. I believe it was 91 that the cummins were first intercooled.. someone can correct me if Im wrong also, but I know that certain year first gens had intercoolers

This has a H1C becuse its a 94...95 an up were all HX35 turbos.

WH1C. its a beefier version of our 1st gen turbos. good call.

i also learned not all 95's had a WH1C, it was dealer installed or something like that, it was not a definite thing until 96.

i meant to say hx35. my bad.. the hx35 was common on 95's but it wasnt 100% that it had it.

the biggest reason that the hx35 was put in to every motor was the fact that cummins put a pump on it that boosted the p pump up to 215hp in late 96

yeah whats weird though is i drove to identical trucks. one a 96 215 truck and one a 95 HX35 160 truck. and they pulled the same? goofy. The 215 trucks had bigger deliver valves and had more potential for power. but then againt what do we care we got the ole Ve rotaries? :D

Thanks! This truck has a louder whistle than my '01 - not quite sure why. Both lost the silencer ring.

@tomgreentwin If your 01 is an automatic than the turbo on your 94 is bigger. That would explain why the whistle is louder.
