@kj293 They were killed by players in WoW expansions. Of course you can still kill them again and again in new expanions, but from the point of lore, they are dead and in some cases, very easy to kill. And WoW is getting easier with every expansion. Maybe raids in cataclysm are a bit harder than in wotlk, but in my opinion, they are still easier than TBC or Vanilla. Also, there are lots of features in the game, which are making it easier, casua. And we probably can't expect Warcraft 4 :/

I get that...I also could get how giving up the other half to reforge the dragon soul could deplete their immortality...that is...for Alexstrasza, Ysera, and Nozdormu. Kalecgos should have been the most powerful aspect due to him being a BRAND NEW ONE!! Just make new aspects you cheese heads! Don't throw them in the garbage "just cuz." A bunch of weak mortals defending Azeroth? HAHAHA!!
Yaaay, all Aspects just now have to give up their powers, claiming that a bunch of Thralls can save universe... despite all job is done by them and heroes of Azeroth, while he just plays with a trinket.
A fitting last expansion would be using the reorigination devices on Azeroth to blow up Sargeras and be done with all this mess.

@Edadventures11 Yeah, problem was, the Wrath story was written a long time ago, probably planned out during the Warcraft 3 era - back when Blizzard didn't think so much about money and more about content. I still think they're one of the better companies out there, but they were more than likely corrupted by their new found fame and fortune. And since most of the original creative team was re-assigned to Titan, I assume Cata was designed by the company's leftovers. It shows.

Cataclysm left too much things open. Sure, Deathwing is gone and we saved the world, but what happened to Chromatus, is the Twilight Cult done, is the Emerald Dream no more since Ysera is mortal, what happened to Koltira, will Garrosh get along better with the other Horde leaders, will Furion take control of the night elves and are they ever gonna finish the construction of the main gate of Orgrimmar?

When i first heard of Mists of Pandaria i though Blizzard had lost their shit too, but after i heard the expansion focuses on the war between Horde and Alliance i was as happy as can be. I think the next expansion is going to end with the war climxaing only to have sargeras and the old gods to invade forcing the factions to unite.

Dragon Aspects are out, huh? Azeroth is in for some trouble now. Mortals alone versus the Old Gods and Sargeras? Yeah...the Horde and Alliance may have to dissolve their hatred for each other. That's pretty much the only way now.
@rachutnik dude what you want them to do, the dragon aspects gave part of their powers to deathwing to create the "Dragon Soul" the only capable weapon ingame to destroy him, when they reactivated it againts deathwing at the final encounter they had to give all their remaining powers

No more Dragon Aspects? Okay, that's stupid because the Dragon Aspects were put in place to always safeguard Azeroth. Neltharion was the main antagonist in cataclysm. Even tho there has been Old Gods involved in all of the expansion (not shure about BC) there should be a bit more focuss on them. I for one think they are a very exiting part of the lore and want to see more of them.
This hugely uber giganticly huge. There are no more dragon aspects? wow, I did not see that coming. You know, I think that we (the greater WoW community) can probably agree to pretend that Cataclysm never happened. Kinda like the 80s.
@AlexeiVoronin There will always be a way to defeat Sargeras. Take for a instant deathwing, he wouldn't have been beaten if it weren't for us going back and getting the dragon soul to make the weapon Thrall uses against Deathwing.
@6oobs - The remaining old gods are pretty obscure currently. We don't know their names or locations. They could be used as dungeon themes but that's all.
Many of the old and well-established lore characters have been killed off by now. One of the few things that's been left unexplored is the Draenei's homeworld, Argus. That would have been a much better expansion idea than... pandas.
Blizzard is quickly running out of ideas. I just hope they stop making WoW expansion and make WarCraft IV.
@AlexeiVoronin well people we happy about alot of the ealier zones following around the Horde and Alliance war so that is what this expansion will based on mainly like 70% but they still needed some story line for dungeons and raids, plus people not big on pvp quest but the wanted it to make it small adjustments hence Pandaria, still i hope for warcraft 4 it follows us going around the forbiding sea and seeing a new continent.
I can just see it for me. The dragon aspect has just left the world in our hands, and what do we do? We go to Pandaria and blow eachother out of the skies -.-'
OT: I rather like the cinematic, would have prefered they kept their powers. The Dragon Aspects were one of the most interesting things in the lore.

I hate to say it, but this is not very epic. I like Lich King ending better.
1. It's not really a epic ending unlike WotLK where it has a twist that the Lich King is still alive, but in a different person.
2. "Age of Pandas has begun..." not ranting on MoP since i think it'll be a little cool.
3. They should have put in more, and gave it a little more effort since some of the script is a little awkward.
4. Why didn't they have the celebration after WotLK

I don't see why people are hating. Cataclysm's over. There's one more expansion before anymore big invasions (Sargeras, Old Gods). I don't understand why the Dragon Aspects lost their powers

@Drag0nSlay0r yea... the aspects were created to well..protect the world agaisnt the old gods/demons.. and if i am not mistaking the old god of cata is still pretty much alvie and omost at full power.. and the legion's armys are still endless..

Dragon Aspects are out, huh? Azeroth is in for some trouble now. Mortals alone versus the Old Gods and Sargeras? Yeah...the Horde and Alliance may have to dissolve their hatred for each other. That's pretty much the only way now.

@rachutnik dude what you want them to do, the dragon aspects gave part of their powers to deathwing to create the "Dragon Soul" the only capable weapon ingame to destroy him, when they reactivated it againts deathwing at the final encounter they had to give all their remaining powers

No more Dragon Aspects? Okay, that's stupid because the Dragon Aspects were put in place to always safeguard Azeroth. That'd be like a kingdom winning a war, and then the general being like, "Alright, rest of the kingdom's army, we won this war and fulfilled our purpose. Let's leave the kingdom now, and leave it in the hands of the peasants."

@LordoftheGodKing Yeah, i know, but there should still be one who breaks free in a expansion. We all want to see the entire body of one of them right? Maybe several of them. Neltharion was the main antagonist in cataclysm. Even tho there has been Old Gods involved in all of the expansion (not shure about BC) there should be a bit more focuss on them. I for one think they are a very exiting part of the lore and want to see more of them.

@AlexeiVoronin There will always be a way to defeat Sargeras. Take for a instant deathwing, he wouldn't have been beaten if it weren't for us going back and getting the dragon soul to make the weapon Thrall uses against Deathwing.

@6oobs - The remaining old gods are pretty obscure currently. We don't know their names or locations. They could be used as dungeon themes but that's all.
Many of the old and well-established lore characters have been killed off by now. One of the few things that's been left unexplored is the Draenei's homeworld, Argus. That would have been a much better expansion idea than... pandas.
Blizzard is quickly running out of ideas. I just hope they stop making WoW expansion and make WarCraft IV.

@AlexeiVoronin well people we happy about alot of the ealier zones following around the Horde and Alliance war so that is what this expansion will based on mainly like 70% but they still needed some story line for dungeons and raids, plus people not big on pvp quest but the wanted it to make it small adjustments hence Pandaria, still i hope for warcraft 4 it follows us going around the forbiding sea and seeing a new continent.

OT: I rather like the cinematic, would have prefered they kept their powers. The Dragon Aspects were one of the most interesting things in the lore.

So fucking stupid. Gotta love day one clears too-.- while wotlk was scrub easy too, at least had a significantly better lore and setting to it. So far, ever wotlk trailer beats out cata. Almost feels like they had a small idea for deathwing and stretched it for too much

Thrall's face when he discovers that will be father is priceless and a masterpiece of emotions: surprise, pride, love, all in 3 sec.
Nice ending, inferior to WOTLK ending as epic and pathos, but cute and a nice preparation for Pandaria expansion with all those Ewoks...i mean Pandas
