  • I really dislike Zanscare's mobile suits...the bug eyes, the just don't work

  • Those wheels looked ridiculous at first, but they turned out to be a formidable weapon. I Loved it when some Odelo and Tomache's Gunblasters kicked out a Zanscare MS from the Einerad wheel and started using it on the Zanscare Mobile suits in one episode.

  • 00:23 - Is... Is that Domon's voice??? o_o'

  • that is the manlyest wheel i have ever met

  • interesting. the zanscare suits are a combination of various tech from EFF, Jupier empire, first crossbone vanguard and zeon, hmm.... i bet side 2 always wanted to be an empire but couldnt because side 3 beat them to it

  • jupiter empire got close cause of the amuro ray a.i. that was used in the Amakusa mobile suit and because zabine betrayed celicy, and zeon came close but couldnt hold it together because of their over zealous ambitions, zanscare got close and by right should have won, but earth federation has some good ass luck in the UC 100s some group always comes to their aid as usual with the AEUG, Karaba, League Militare and the illuminati/side 8 forces in g saviour in the UC 200s

  • Hail Zanscare!!! Glory to the Zanscare Empire!!!!

  • You know the Wheels might look stupid, but they were so effective that I really hated them as enemies. I loved it when V2 first came out and cut them with its wings.

  • OZ and White Fang practically destoyed each other. Not only that, but Zanscare had the Earth Federation, rival colonial factions, AND the League Militaire to deal with. OZ only had five Gundams, the White Fang, and the United Earth Sphere Alliance (a VERY weak faction, even weaker than the Federation at its weakest point). Zanscare took over practically all of the Earth by episode 7 or so. OZ is VERY successful. But Zanscare is the MOST successful.

  • While OZ was very successful, they still got brutally defeated by two relatively small rebel factions (White Fang and the Gundam Pilots). Zanscare was the only faction to truly nearly subdue the entire Earth Sphere. OZ did great, but they didn't make it that far. ZAFT probably came the closest to what Zanscare did. First Neo Zeon movement was pretty successful in its own right at first.

  • It's as simple as this. Zanscare take control of some of the Earth (How much of it, I don't remember) and eventually lose. OZ and Romafeller take most of the world by episode 10 and after some political shifting, establish the Unified World Nation. They then go into space, beat White Fang and work out peace with the colonies.

They did so well, the Gundam pilots join THEM as Preventers. That's total victory.

  • @Somefurfag lol, damn! I forgot about that!

  • Zanscare is probably the most successful antagonist faction in the history of Gundam (except for MAYBE ZAFT). Cosmo Babylonia withered away, Jupiter Empire came close, but no cigar, and Zeon, while being persistent, could never truly win. Zanscare is actually my second favorite faction in all of Gundam. I LOVE their mobile suits! HAIL Zanscare!!!

  • Actually, I'd say OZ from Wing were the most successful. The whole series was about Treize causing a war to unify and threaten the entire Earth and show humanity how terrible it really is.

    And it worked!

  • Hail Zanscare, friend. We share common interests.

  • wow a mobile suit using "IT"!(south park reference)

  • Its been a while since I last saw this show. How did Katejina go insane anyway?

  • I think it just happened as a result of hanging out with the Zanscare. No particular reason.

I guess you could just say war messes everyone up.

  • Oh, there is a reason, far more than just hanging around with a bunch of mostly monsters like the Zanscare folk. The novelization of V revealed that Chronicle took Katejina to be made into an artificial Newtype. Of course, that's the novel, and no mention of Katejina having Newtypeism is made in the series itself, but, hey, it's sure as hell plausible, given how crazy most past artificial Newtypes were.

  • @SaitohYatate It's kinda hard to tell how she changes because she developed from a kind woman to a psychopath.

  • Lol roadkill @ 0:15 XD

  • wheel looks so ulgy

  • The wheel? Isn't that a step down from technological marvels, Tomino?

  • I think it says something when giant tires are more effective than the majority of CE grunts.

  • The Victory itself is only a step above a grunt. The core block system is all it really has in advantage compared to the GunEZ.

  • I knew they mass produced Victory, but didn't think they were that weak...I actually like the idea of believably powered gundams tbh. Too many god modes nowadays...Also the choreography of the battles in this also make this series an interesting watch.

  • The only truly powerful units in this series are the Zanneck and/or Gengaozo, Gottrlatan and V2 Assault Buster- which is good. Too many powerful suits spoil the broth.

  • The only thing I really like about this anime is the unusual mecha designs. The animation is almost the same as G Gundam and since the enemy mobile suits look like alien invaders, those two factors make them look even more evil. Still, there's good reason they didn't bring this to America.

  • The Wheel Mechs are actually effective in one way if you look at it, they are able to run over enemy fortifications in a ramming move rather then stepping on them.

  • 1:56

    OPEN GET!!!!!

  • which ep is this?

  • Somewhere around half way through. Uso hasn't been given the V2 yet.

  • Those Wheels are some of the craziest mobile suits ever designed. It's a wonder how the pilots don't get dizzy and throw up from jumping up all the time and turning sideways to shoot. Ever roll down a hill in a giant tire? That's where I'm getting at.

  • I believe it's like a gyroscope- the wheel is sort of... on a belt around it, so the middle is in constant stasis as far as I know- it doesn't turn with the wheel.

    That'd be nuts.

  • Well, you never know what newtypes are capable of. Then again, the artificial ones go crazy and probably would never hold well in a giant tire. I like V Gundam mainly for its unusual mecha designs; they were probably the precursors to the G Gundam mechas. As for the story, I believe Tomino could've been a bit more creative.

  • It still amazes me how effective the Wheels were.

  • Wait till you see snowboarding mecha, works excellent in sandlike Enviroments where Landskates only manage to catch dust or powdered snow in its gears.
