trash guys like these will come and go, It's classy hardworking guys like pronger, niedermayer, yzerman, sakic will stay and perform night in and night out. If you don't believe pronger doesn't deserve to be with these names, you dont know NHL. He was there in 2003 with these gentlemen and they earned the world cup. And no, Pronger was not benched, he was contributing.

Except Burrish is a bum who was lucky he was in the right place in the right time to win a Cup. He wasnt even playing in game 6 of the Cup and contributed nothing. Guys like Crosby and Pronger are on a different level while bums like Burrish should be lucky they even get to share the same ice as them.

Hockey is a team sport. Crosby and Pronger are headlines now (well Crosby is...). but their careers could end anytime and they'd be forgotten within a decade. And most importantly, they're nothing without their teammates, many of who are on the same par with Burish.
Again... to summarize: 1) team sport, 2) Cup's in Chicago, not Pittsburgh or Philly or anywhere else for that matter.

Crosby and Pronger both have a Cup ring and a gold medal and contribute more to their teams. U think the Ducks and Penguins would have had a chance to win the Cup without Crosby and Pronger? Yes, hockey is a team sport and i love it but bums like Burrish are easily replaced while players like Crosby and Pronger are hall of famers that arent just another NHL player.

@silentghost23 Well that's wonderful, but Pronger and Crosby do not make a team of 22 guys either. Every team has its expendables, its bums. I can rattle off 20 of them on the Penguins bench too.
And all contribute as much as Burish does/did to Chicago. Penguins have Crosby, Blackhawks have their standouts and grunts, so do the Capitals... on and on.
So what's your point? Are you pissed that your girlfriend Cindy Crosby got taken down a notch or two?

@2010COBHC He's in the NHL because he came out of one of the better collegiate hockey programs in the country and contributed highly to team morale. He deserves as much to be in the NHL as any player does.

The fact is he isn't arrogant, but he is a serious prankster. And of course he was just joking here. But a lot of hockey players will say what he did, namely that it doesn't matter who's playing on the other team, they have a job to do irrespective who their opponent is.
Crosby actually said virtually the same thing about Sean Avery in one interview (i.e. about having a job to do and not worrying or caring about Avery).

Wow. I strongly dislike Burish because of his comments on Pronger, but he's 100 percent right here. The interviewer, however, is horrible. Trashing Sidney and the Pens. "Guaranteed win" without Sidney? No win against Pittsburgh is easy, which I hate to admit as a Flyers fan. But Burish has the right attitude.

This interviewer should've gotten fired a while ago, cuz she's been around since ever. Pronger though, does make a lot of dumb comments as well. @hockeyman56649 Are you serious? A community league is when you play on a team in your youth. Like I know people in highschool who play on hockey teams, they have practices and games but they dont get paid. Thats what a community league is, they exist for Hockey,Soccer, Lacrosse and other sports.
