"Say (O Muhammad): I ask of you no payment, except love of (my) family (Ahlul Bayt)." And

"Whatever payment I have asked for you, (it) is only for yourselves."

And: "I ask of you no reward for this, except that, whoso will, chooses a way unto his Lord."

After reading some of the comments here, i think its sad the way some misinformed 'shias' criticise the beliefs of the followers of Ahlul Bayt. Everyone can do what they want and will be held accountable for it, but please take care before you insult the Imams (AS), you can not and will not be able to take what will come to you. It goes without mention, that music which falls into the genre of 'idle talk' is totally forbidden and unlawful in every aspect in Islam, and Scholars have warned to avoid gatherings where such music is being played.

The Quran says: "And there are among men those who purchase idle talk in order to mislead others from Allah's path without knowledge..." (31:6)

Can one really judge this as Idle talk which causes one to mislead from Allah?

Just because the people sing about Imam Al-mahdi that doesn't make it right. Go ahead sing about whatever you want but leave out the music. It is forbidden. Nasheeds are ok because they don't use instruments. The verse from the quaran that u have used to justify your belief says what u are trying to argue: People are using this "religious song" to mislead people. People think that it is a song about religion so therefore listen to it..and they are lead into the haram.

Our religion is very beautiful already and so is this singers voice. So why the instruments? By doing this we are saying: we need an instrument to make Imam Al-Mahdi's songs more likable.
