Riding a horse ain't a sport, it don't need no helmet. It should be a natural thing for all of us, but we lost sight of this because of the 20 century. There was a time in our history where riding was the way to get around. We have only started to get off the horse and into a car less then 90 years ago. Before that it was always a horse.
@fancy144 get your horse in a round pin, (works better bareback, that way he doesnt have to run when he has a saddle on.), then try to get on him, if he moves, make him run, only let him run the way you want him to go. Then when he is running, if he turns and comes towards you, pet him a little, and see if he follows you. If he does try to get on him if he doesnt make him run. Keep doing that until he realizes he has work until he lets you get on him! Hope that helped Posting vids soon!Subscribe
@karah0bug I know what its called...but im just saying how I like to do it! I know some horses that I ride, whcih arent mine, my trainers tell me not to cause it hurts them! So I just do waht I am told and waht I please
When I mount, I hold the reins and the horn because I have a better feeling about not loosing balance! Plus I dont wantto hurt the horse by pulling her hair
@CourtneyLynnCullins : it's called a mane... and horse can feel no pain at all when you pull it... its not like human hair u can tug on it all u want it wont hurt him/her at all
@paulsmom77 I don't think I'd be teaching people that...they might learn that being heavy on the hands is the only way to balance themselves on a horse. Try and learn to ride without hands...like having someone lunge your horse while you ride. And I'm not sure how holding the horses mane will steady the horse...
About how tall would you say this horse is in hh? Just wondering. I mean, I understand that this will be hard to tell since we don't know the woman's height, but I'm just trying to get a better general idea of how to measurse/guess a horse's height through quick observation.
Yes, I know a bit off topic, but whatever... lol :)
@nataliedavies18973 Start slow, there's no rush. Definitely take lessons and you can slowly work your way up to cantering once walk, trot, and lope are mastered.
Hi I don't know about horses but why dont you use spurrs to get your horse to move because I saw on PBR they users spurs and these shocking things to get the horse to move.
@sohcsarewicked It's not cruel if used properly. Even the safest of equipment if used wrong can hurt a horse. A lot of horses don't need spurs and will move fine with leg pressure.
My horse moves away befor I even put my fist foot in the sturrup. It takes me forever to mount because she will turn or move forward! She never used to do that. Can somebody help and tell me why she does that?
i stop my horse from moving round by standing in front of him, cuz he wouldnt dare step on me haha then a use both reins from the front to back him up, and quickly mount up. haha i hav fell offf mannyy times, if u rny doind advanced enough things. wheres the fun if there isnt any risk??? :) luv olivia and wiggle
Cela a rafraîchi ma mémoire aussi. Je n'ai pas tombé d'un cheval depuis que j'ai commencé à monter, mais je suis sûr que j'aurai à le experiance plus tard.
You need to tell them whose boss. If you are walking them, hold they're halter or Reins, and if they're swaying they're head, hold it, and sternly say: ex. "Chilly, no." If you are riding them, you need to say:"No, Chilly!" And you need to hold the reins steady, and tell them were you wanna go.
@Fancy144 pull back on the reins and say wo wo but make sure to pull back towards your chest not your face and make sure your reins and even on both sides
@Fancy144 Say very loudly "WOAH" so just say "WOAH" It will stop the horse or give a kinda light kinda hard tug on the reins and they will stop. I know this because i own a lot or horses! hope this helps ps check my channel up for horse videos etc
@Fancy144 not sure if this works but, once you get on any horse don't just start right away. once you get on pet them and say good boy/girl wait a minute or something. because if you get on a horse and then start right away everytime it'll think "kk time to go, LES DO THIS!" lol :D hope it helps xo
