  • This piece of music tells a love story about a couple of young man and girl, which is similar to the famous western one, “Romeo and Juliet”.The story took place in 400AC. During that time, women were not allowed to go to any

school. A girl, who was born in a noble family and named as Zhu Ying Tai, wanted to go to a school very much. She disguised herself as a man to attend a school in Hangzhou.

  • The Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto is one of the most famous works of Chinese music and certainly one of the most famous outside of China. It is an orchestral adaptation of an ancient legend, the Butterfly Lovers. Written for the western style orchestra, it features a solo violin played using some Chinese techniques.

  • Traditional Chinese composers often write in a different tonal system than western classical music. As a result, this can make the music sound constantly out of tune to some Western ears. The Butterfly Lover's Violin Concerto is written in the familiar western tonal system, but it utilizes many Chinese melodies, chord structures and patterns. This makes the Butterfly Lovers' more accessible than other Chinese works, such as the also famous Yellow River Piano Concerto.

  • On her road there, she met a fellow schoolmate whose name was Liang Shan Bo. They became good friends and swore honorary brothers.

They studied and lived together for three years. Yet, Liang never realized that Zhu was a girl. Before their graduation, Zhu asked Liang to visit her and promised to marry her younger sister, who did not exist actually.

  • Finally, Liang died with a broken heart. On her wedding day, Zhu passed by Liang's tomb and condoled with him in tears.Suddenly,Liang's tomb cracked.Zhu knew it was the time that she could be with Liang together.

  • She threw herself into Liang's tomb. Then, the tomb recovered as usual. After a while, a pair of butterflies came from the tomb. The couple of lovers finally change into this pair of butterflies....end..if you just tape"story about 'Butterfly Lovers;(Liang Zhu)",on 'Google' than will see many about THIS LOVE STORY!
