I´ve already played this game and haley joel osment did a wonderfull job, like vanitas it was so different from sora´s voice. It´s funny, it´s been 8 years since the first game and we see the same sora but with his voice changing with each game.

@TheEmoAlucard Because of the connection through Ven's heart. When Ven connected his heart with Sora in the first cutscene, Vanitas was affected, and thus took on Sora's appearance. And it's Roxas that looks like Ven, because he has Ven's heart. Sora stabbing himself with the Heart Unlocker separated Ven's from his own, which went on with Sora's body and soul to become Roxas. Vanitas is the dark half of Ven's heart, with a body and soul formed from the darkness.

@mikaelayeo2103 Sora began fighting the darkness at 14, and then he started small with little shadows (with the exception of Darkside, that was a bigass piece of darkness) and already had practice whaking things over the head thanks to sparring with Riku. Here Ven is presumably 10-11, and fighting a horde of neoshadows, and it is unknown how much fighting experience Ven had prior.

I don't know, Ven was too ticked off at Eraqus for not telling him to really be thinking about this stuff. Besides, Eraqus doesn't really know about Vanitas anyway. All he knows is that he's a masked boy, but he had no clue he was connected to Ventus. It's not like the characters know everything that goes on in the world... not everybody is Jiminy Cricket.

Technically. But he doesn't really count as he wasn't born that way, and thus is not an official part of the group.

However he shares their abilities like being immune to becoming a heartless because he has no darkness to turn into one for example.

Ventus should have use the power of Darkness at that time with Xehanort. He can control it for a time and Xehanort reveal his plan to him and Ventus will stop him with darkness and he lost the battle.

Ventus should atleast explore Destiny Island more and meet Sora and Kairi.

Neoshadows are pure-bred Heartless. Those kind have always existed, but they aren't as numerous back then as they are now.

The heartless here are actually not created from hearts but just pure darkness from the realm of darkness. Therefore, they aren't really heartless. They never existed in the Realm of Light, these were just brought out from the Realm of Darkness by Master Xehanort in his travels there.

Xehanort eventually used hearts of others to create the creatures, truly making them heartless. Emblem heartless have the ability to hold numerous hearts inside them at once to increase their ranks.

So you say pure-blood heartlesses are pure darkness? That's not right. When Sora turned into a heartless he became a Shadow, a pure-blood even though he was a heart (only covered in deep darkness). And later when Ansem tW destroyed a part of Xemnas' Kingdom Hearts hearts were falling down becoming shadows.

I guess once a guy becomes too corrupted his heart turns into a heartless and automaticly gets transported to the RoD the same way Nobodies get to Twilight Town.

It's only after Xehanort's experiments with Ansem the Wise that he discovered the process of creating the same creatures with the use of corrupted hearts. Yes, pure bred heartless are corrupted hearts but only after Xehanort's meddling. Prior to his experiments they were never known as heartless.

No, Xehanort found out how Heartless are created but he didn't creat the first one. Remember Scar, the lion? He turned into a heartless because of his jealousy and greed. It had nothing to do with Xehanorts, his experiments or any heartless having attacked Scar or something. It was purely because of the darkness in his heart. Greed, jealousy and darkness existed since forever and in the same means heartless should have always existed even before Xehanort found out the specifics reasons.

He did that so he'd have an easy way to make a heart of light (Ven), and a heart of darkness (Vanitas) combine. When a heart of pure light and a heart of pure darkness combine, they make the X-Blade.

He's not really the X-Blade, but he can create it.... It's really complicated! You'll find out later, I think. It'll be more clear!

He probably could've used a Princess of Heart if Ven had died after taking his darkness out.

Also, he probably could've used someone else, but Ven was his apprentice. It looked like he was trying to get Ven to use the power of Darkness like Terra, to maybe take over Ven's body, but he couldn't do it.

Ven was Xehanort's apprentice and was planning on using him as a new body. He took Ven out to try to force him to use the power of darkness, but Ven couldn't do it. So, Master Xehanort decided that he could use Ven another way, which was to help him create the X-Blade. Therefore, he decided to take all of his darkness out and formed Vanitas, and Ven was left with a pure heart while Terra became his body-snatching target!
