its un-educated people like this that makes the rest of the world think we are stupid. Hiroshima was bombed on Aug. 6 1945, and war wasnt declared on japan until the day after pearl harbor, dec. 8 1941
to say hello people in japan must bow, its mean respect, it doseant mothere where you are from, and obama maybe learned to have respect for other countries by sbowing when he must to
@elTiburon1971 Neither the British nor the Japanese are subjects, though we would always bow to a Head of State if a guest in their country. If some, fortunately only some, Americans are so insecure of themselves and their nation that they never bow, then they should stay at home, do not venture out in the big wide world and the rest of civilisation will pass on by and breath a huge sigh of relief!
@elTiburon1971 Not at all. As a constitutional monarchy, with free will and by choice, we retain our monarchy with respect and admiration of their current achievements. By contrast the USA has only transient elected leaders, a bi-partisan political system and no proven democratic history. Your nation lives too much in the here and now only! Evidence - how much time, effort and money is spent by US citizens establishing a history with our nation monarchy. Give it another 500 years till you decide

Americans don't bow... we are not subjects. Bowing is not expected... It is a sign of weakness, period.
A handshake is universal and was established as a way of showing the other party that your hand was empty.
Bowing is what a subject does to his or her RULER.

@055deltic I am sorry but if your country recognized a King, Queen or Emperor... Then you ARE a subject.
