  • Thank you for your interesting video. Cambodia is really a great country to visit. My friend Sam and I were there from 20th to 25th January 2008. We enjoyed every moment of it. The boat trip from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap was fantastic! The Cambodians are very friendly and polite people. This country will progress because the people has the right attitude towards life.

  • Angor Wat was first build by the camboian peolpe then the thai people came and stole the Angor Wat idea and build it in Thai Thai people stole our idea if you don't know the history then shut the fuck up CAMBODIAN people had it first

  • Atually, the thai temples in thailand I believe are the temples that the khmer empire had built first, when we had lost land to thailand during war, some of our ancestors great work of art was also taken away. Regardless, The khmer empire influence both thai and Lao culture. If you haven't notice our clothing, dances, and of course food are well the same.

  • No..you can see at angkor that some of the temples complex looks exactly like this, but only made of stone.. this was not influence by thailand at all. thats just retarded.. itf was also influence by there clothes, the gold they wore and everything

  • what the hell is she tlking about..it ain't inspred by thailand..its original cambodian

  • i love this video....great work.

  • Khmer is the original people in mainland SEA. Therefore, I don't see why foreigners are claiming that Khmer ( style, songs, and movies etc.)is belonging to their cultures. Khmer is smart enough to figure out things and differentiate themselves from foreigners. For example,if they were to borrow, they would make it 99.9% of Khmer. Just look around mainland SEA, Khmer temples are dotted from Thailand,Laos, and artifacts in South Viet. The truth is Khmer will always be the original.

  • Very well said! I am leaving for Cambodia later this month; my wife and I are leading a study abroad, service-learning group from a local college. It will be the third year in a row that I will have the honor of visiting this magical land and its gracious and noble people.

  • Well said lad.

  • Well, i'm not quite well understanding about architecture and the history of it.

It might be true or it might not...

I only have a good willing to advertise my country. Though, our culture is influenced by many cultures during last centuries, but don't forget that your culture was born from ours.

I don't mean to have any "culture conflict", but i have a last sentence about history: "To truely understand oneself, one cannot understand from your own history alone."

  • That palace in Panompehn is influenced by thai style during 17-18th century and it looks miniature.

The real sublime one is the Grand Palace of Bangkok.

The real kmer architecture is to be seen at Angkor. That grandeur is one of a wonder of the world.
