I race my revo 3.3 at Whitehousehobbys in whitehouse TN.. both trucks are not tuned right and the revos low end sucked .. nethier trucks front ends came off the ground .. not a fair race at all.. Duratrax flashpoint infrared temperature gauge will help you tune doth tucks great for $25.. dont never tune a truck untill its warm!

@louloun1212  in the short line electric vs nitro yes it's because electric is direct power compared to nitro where fuel has to cycle and ignite but but if you have a longer drag most nitro RC are fasterand more powerful than electric but both are fun

@skip1996 well, are you A beginner In the rc world? If so Go with the E-Maxx I know you think the gas one are cooler but All around Electric save money run better last longer. If your Experienced take the S-Maxx If your Familiar but not pro go with the T-maxx as it is a begginner nitro truck :)

@802prods If I were to race on a track and wanted to use the Maxx I would definitely get hub extenders. The Revo is alright but it's way to complicated of a design whereas the Maxx uses simple design that's been known to work for decades. EG: How the A-arm assembly and shocks are placed in the Revo seem much to "complicated" for what its use is. Although I say go electric, seems more practical now a days with the LiPos.

these trucks are basically the same. it just depends who has the better tune which obviously the tmaxx has. but the revo is better the the tmaxx. you can set it up for racing or bashing and are more reliable.

@Macbookowns actually the durability of a tmaxx is not even close to the revo. It needs upgrades to allow it not to break like a piece of glass. However the tmaxx is a more basher truck. but still needs a lot of aftermarket to be to be on par with durability compared to the revo.

@DillonReddington yea i think the tmaxx is a lil bit lighter...and the .26 is great deff recomend it sooooo much more power then the 3.3 and deffinatley upgrade ur plastic driveshafts...and also make sure ur slipper clutch (if tmaxx has one) make sure its tight but has a lil bit of give otherwise ull tear up ur tranny

I am watching videos of nitro revo's because i can buy a used one that is barely used and is being sold by the owner for very cheap, but if this is the top speed of Nitro Revos, I wont be buying one. The new revo 3.3 is 10% larger than the previous revo. That means that the tires are bigger... and when the tires are bigger, you do have some sort of speed increase. (acceleration.) But the t-maxx is just as fast. Also it depends on how each engine was broken in or tuned... the revo didn't look like it was running at it's optimum. It's all a matter of personal preference... (but i like the revo 3.3) :)

Revo was definetly not tuned right. Especially since it didn't get ahead off the start due to it's wheelbase. I can see the t-maxx ending up in the win due to weight, but obviously the revo isn't tuned as well as the t-maxx.

The Revo is more sporty and has a lower center of gravity so it's easier to accelerate without wheeleing but most of the race is down to tuning neither of those cars are very well tuned but they're not too bad either

Heres why, Bigger tires weigh more causing the truck to run slower, i know this bc i ran 40 series street tires on my revo and it was way slower than with stock talons. Theoretically if you think about it the trucks are the same pretty much but the tires and height. The revo could more likely smoke a tmaxx on a track but the tmaxx would smoke the revo on straight aways and stuff.
