Mark 6:3 and Matthew 13:55 write of Jesus being the carpenter’s son. His mother was Mary and his brothers were James, Joses, Simon and Jude. Jesus's sisters are also mentioned, but not by name. So Mary was not a life-long virgin. Perhaps her other children were also fathered bij the Holy Spirit, then they were sons and daughters of God too, like Jesus.

I recognize Mary's important role in the church. Catholics say they don't worship her as a god but they simply honor her being the mother of Jesus. So, then I googled to see when the last apparition was and there wasn't a link that could provide that. I know there is a times she will no longer show up for a while. Jesus give His mother to the "disciple whom Jesus love" which is you and me.. for we all must go to the foot of the cross. This "disciple whom Jesus loved" took her into his home. You must also take her into your heart. She does not supplant Christ but is honored as He honored her.

Catholic means Universal, and there was only one (universal) Christian religion prior to Martin Luther breaking from the Church in the 16th century. Uzzah died for touching it. Mary is the the new Ark living of the Covenant. We have the Spirit of God in us... it is only mary that has had the Christ, God made flesh inside of her. Rev 12 speaks of Israel but also typology of mary. She gives birth to the son of Man.

@jesuaj You will have to define "good", some ppl do bad actions and they say they are "good" or that they are doing "good" actions. Something good for me may be bad for you. But in the Bible, it states that to earn eternal life one must do God's Will which are in the Ten Commandments, plus the one added by Jesus Christ., that is essentially good for me.

I think I watched a video in which GAndhi was asked if he would convert to christianity, and he said "no" because if being a christian is being like an englishman, he did not want that. Something along those lines, though Gandhi was doing in essence what christianity preaches - nonviolence, forgiveness, and compassion.

@jesuaj The problem is that no one really is a 'good person', at least good enough to 'have a place with God' as you state. Yes, many do their best to "be good", but we all fall short. A person who is honest with themselves will acknowledge this. If this were not true, we would not have the problems we do in the world, for it is all cumulative. This is why we need to turn to God with repentent hearts. He surely forgives a repentent heart! And it is His forgiveness that brings us to Heaven!

Mark 6:3 and Matthew 13:55 write of Jesus being the carpenter’s son. His mother was Mary and his brothers were James, Joses, Simon and Jude. Jesus's sisters are also mentioned, but not by name. So Mary was not a life-long virgin. Perhaps her other children were also fathered bij the Holy Spirit, then they were sons and daughters of God too, like Jesus.

I Got free a school meal once a day and money to get the bus to school and back. I used to laugh (still do) when people said I was "poor". I never thought I was poor, I knew others had lots of money etc. but being happy at home I felt well off, and I was. I had A home, school, electricity, I wasnt poor but didnt have much, so understand (a bit) what you mean

I recognize Mary's important role in the church. Catholics say they don't worship her as a god but they simply honor her being the mother of Jesus. They explain that in the ten commandments, God said, "Honor your father and your mother". It follows that Jesus perfectly honors not only his Father in heaven but also his Mother. So Christians, why not honor her if you're one with Jesus?

@Guardian1223 not really. The word Catholic just means universal. This word did not come around till after constintine created the roman church. The church of christ was just called christians. This was sepereated to 2 branches if you will. Orthodox or Catholic. Out of the catholic branch comes all the different denominations. Orthodoxy remains one "group" with different ethnic cultures but exactly similar theological views

Jesus left mere, mortal, sinful men, in positions of great authority in His Church.
If they will not listen to the Church then treat them like a heathen or a tax collector.
The Church is the pillar and ground of the truth.
All in the Bible yet you don't even know it.

Our Lady serves as a shining example of what we all are capable of, God chose her and she said "Yes". Mary has many things she can teach us about being a true disciple of Our Lord and Master Jesus Christ. After all, she was the first to believe. Our Lady, Queen of Heaven, pray for us now and at the hour of our death for no one holds the ear of Jesus more than His mother and her intercession is a powerful thing! This is my faith!

I pray to Our Blessed Lady because she is our refuge and our strength in our constant struggle against the heresy of Protestantism in it's legion manifestations here on earth and I pray to her for the lost souls who were led down that dangerous spiritual path that she will guide them back to her son Jesus Christ through the one true faith.

That's what you're telling me in theory. In practice there are far more ornate Maryan grotto shrines with its deceived followers kneeling before the statue & worshiping. Why ask her to intercede instead of Jesus only? Also which intercession did Jesus' mother do in the wedding of Cana? You deliberately omitted Jesus' response to His mother; He reproved her sharply (saying, 'woman what have I to do with you? My...''. If Jesus condemned a woman's intercession, why do the RCC continue in this evil?

You need to read the entire passage and you need to think about what you are reading. There is no disrespect. What does she say: "Do whatever He tells you." That is ALL that Mary ever says: "Obey God." And what does Jesus do? He changes the water into wine. Read the scriptures with your heart, not your hate towards His Church.

He was sharp with her because the life of all men lies in His hands & to be taken very seriously. She said 'do whatever He tells you' ONLY AFTER she was rebuked by Jesus for wanting to control Him. She would not have said that if Jesus did not act this way. The fact that He rebuked her aint mean He disrespected her in any way (more like the fact that Jesus told Peter 'get thee behind me satan, you are..', does not mean He hated Peter. It is better to be rebuked & learn & go into heaven than not.

Yes, Mary said (to Jesus' disciples) 'whatsoever He tells you, do it'. She never said 'come to Jesus via me; or I'll intercede to Him on your behalf'). Jesus said 'no man can come to His Father, God (or into heaven) except through Him (and not via His mother to Him). The bible also says there is ONLY ONE intercessor between God and man, Jesus (and not through Mary or Mary-to-Him). (S)he that have ears to hear, let him(her) hear and catch and understand wisdom.

I work as an assistant of an exorcist priest of 99 years old.I also help an evangelic sheppard and a rabi once in while when there is a complicate case of demonic possession.
My experience as a demonologist is that I have never seen a demon pretending to be Mary.Actually they refer to her as "The Lady"and they knee down when her name is pronounced.
They would not be powerfull enough to promote the kind of healing and miracle events like in Lourdes.Their "show" is very limited.

Jesus asked the Pharisees of His day 'whom do your children 'cast' demons out in'? You may not have seen demons manifesting as a marian apparition b'cos you're deliberately kept very ignorant by these demons lest your eyes be opened & you find the truth in Jesus. The exorcist you worked with was also very ignorant who might has seen the truth too late after death (assuming him to be dead). Using 'satan to cast out satan' (like in the Loudes case) is foolhardy. Jesus cast out demons ONCE ONLY.

Jesus was a good Jew. A good Jew would never speak to his mother with disrespect. Jesus was also God and He gave the commandment: "Honor your Father & your Mother." God does not bread His own commandments!

Jesus NEVER dishonored His Earthly mother. He was God in the flesh & He knew all things. He knew that satan wanted to influence Him via His mother (as well as the fact that satan will hide under His mother's name, turning many away from Him, making people to ignorantly worship him (satan) in these end times as seen by the RCC today). Hence He made it clear to His mother that He was in total control of His Godly mission (of His Father) & not to be swayed by any man, hence He was sharp with her.

The Holy Bible is a Book, that means u cannot take part of it and dwell on it, while the rest may complete its meaning. due to just the pure rejection that good people can help us get closer to God, alive in prayer or in the after life when they are even in direct contact with him

What are you talking about exactly? Jesus Christ made it clear that the way to heaven (& to His Father God) was through Himself & no other. His mother wanted to control Him (during the marriage feast of Cana) & He rebuked her (not disrespect) b'cos He knew satan would had influenced her into controlling Him & also that satan will come in her name in order to deceive many by making her ''intercessor'' of people (whereas the bible says Christ is the ONLY mediator. So what's your point exactly?

If you have the Spirit of God & His gift of discernment, you will quickly & very plainly realize that the Roman Catholic Church is not of God but a demonic religious organization masquerading with superficial righteousness & many of its followers erroneously worshiping 'Mary' & going straight to hell. Please listen; I will tell you the sincere truth: the 'marian' apparitions seen are DEMONIC ENTITIES appearing as angelic solemn righteous figures in order for you to falsely believe into hell.

You are telling me. The bible said cursed is he who thwarts the bible scriptures (i.e. anyone who adds or subtracts from the bible will attract plagues from God). Why then did the RCC violate God's first commandment by making graven images of beings in heaven (etc) & modified God's first commandment by removing the part involving ''graven image'' production? Also added: 'assumption of Mary'; purgatory; transubstantiation miracle type; infantile baptism etc. Show me where these occurs in bible.

And where in the bible was there any infants being baptized? Jesus was a perfect example to follow & He was baptized as an adult via WATER IMMERSION & NOT SPRINKLING. It was recorded plainly that baptism of ADULTS & not kids or infants occurred. For one to be baptized, that person must first believe i.e. in the understanding of the worth & manner of the kingdom of God. Kids or infants have no understanding of this. They need no baptism since they are of God & counted worthy till they understand.

I am telling you the real truth b/4 God the creator & I lie not: The Marian apparitions which people claim to see all around the world that appears 'solemn & holy' are actually satanic spirit(s), which appear deceptively gentle in order to bring many people into hell. It is an exceeding dangerous & very evil spirit with a heart of satan in its core (if only God open your eyes to the real truth) HONESTLY. I will not lie to you. Jesus said 'come unto me'; 'ask of me & receive'. Many are deceived.

Just earnestly pray to God & ask Him to open your eyes to reveal His unbiased truth to you & you may be surprised. I aint wanna influence your thinking or mentality. Just pray that the true God (Most High Creator) to reveal Himself & show you what the authenticity of these apparitions are.
May I tell you that you cannot get to God without going through Jesus. Pray to God to tell you who Jesus really is & whether these apparitions are of Him or demonic. It's good to have knowledge & discernment.
