Anyone else get the terrible feeling that this is Thrice's breakup song? It seems to tie everything off a little too nicely, including past lyrics, plus the name anthology, etc....
@Logan20737 This song has nothing to do with break up. It just talks about most of the past songs they've recorded. Our lives buil;t on tin cans and string - Atlantic Our love is a loyalty sword, Come what may- The Weight. If your insulting this song then your insulting other songs. You're lucky that there is a character limit on here cause I can go on forever.
@fezzynips Believe me, I'm not insulting the song. And I'm aware that nowhere in the song's lyrics does it BLATANTLY say that they're breaking up. I'm just saying, writing this KIND of song, one that sums up all your other songs so masterfully, seems like something you do at the end of your career, not just somewhere in the middle. Me saying this does not by default make me hate Thrice... I love them. I was just observing and predicting, and I was right, wasn't I?
Absolutely beautiful! The meter. The dynamic changes. The guitar riff in the intro brought down an octave in the outro. The chord progression! And THAT VOICE!!!! -swoons like a little girl-
I love it when a band grows up with you. I love the early stuff, but I'm so glad they don't just write and record the same album again and again. What a great song. Dustin can pull off everything live that he does on records.
I got chills here and there through out the whole song, but from the 3:02 mark and on it was constant, the chills just kept coming. I have a feeling Major/Minor is gonna be AMAZING.
I also like what they did here, I LOVE the acoustic version a whole lot! To me the acoustic version is super intimate but this seems version is a little more powerful.
I love you Thrice, Thank you for all of your beautiful music. They have changed my life and they way I see things. You guys are truly inspiring :)
