yes, i thought it sounded a little older... the dobro sounds stylistically like "chin up cheer up" from demolition, which i would assume was recorded around the same time. perhaps more material from suicide handbook will be on this rumored "box set" that's coming this winter?

We can hope (if it ever does in fact see the light of day). It is actually one of the albums rumored to be included in the box set. The album in its current state floating around the net features mostly Ryan and a musician named Bucky Baxter accompanying him (that's him you hear on slide). Ryan has mentioned before in an interview that the album features a whole string ensemble, so it would really be amazing to hear what it sounds like now. Let's cross our fingers. :)

what's funny is that I actually had Suicide Handbook a year or two ago. I found it on a hub when I was in college. Somehow I lost the entire album though, which really sucks. I love this song though. I got addicted to Ryan Adams when a friend played some of his music almost 3 years ago! I'm just realizing that now, it's amazing how fast time goes by.
