yo you are all right about colubus being an asshole but i think its not about how bad of a human being it is but rather columbus representing the end of the age of exploration. sure he was a dick but he symbolizes the end of adventure after the americas the whole world has been discoverd. kill off columbus is about never losing the adventurouse spirit we were told by columbus is no longer neccessary

Columbus represents the punk mindset, exactly parallel to how he uses "nomad" in this song. The entire song is about growing up and assimilating into society, more as an observation through experience and not a commentary/critique. This is aligned with what he normally says at shows before he plays this, "this is for the older punks out there."
