I thank the creator or whatever /whoever made me that there are people out there who have made sex reassignment surgery available for people like me who have always felt trapped in the body of a male but always felt female from the time I was self aware as a toddler. @chroslyn I had a very good friend who was a priest, and I met him only because he was a crossdresser. He has since passed away, I miss him terribly - but point was, he knew I was crossliving fulltime. He was gone when I went for surgery, but I feel he and God know enough to see the truth. People going through this aren't likely to be very sexually active at all statistically. Only a small percentage go into the sex trade, in fact those keeping the penis would do better.

Like I said, if you are mentally a female, then I cannot argue that. You are what you are in your own mind regardless of your genotype/phenotype. Now if you knew anything about Mendelian genetics (which you obviously do not) you would know in mammals XX=female and XY=female theres no exceptions to this rule. Well, I cannot argue someone being mentally female. If an individual is mentally female, then thats what they are in their own minds. However theyre living in their own world since they can never become a true female. Now if someone wants to replace their penis with a hole in which a penis can be inserted, then i suppose it is not a false hope as they are getting their wishes fulfilled. However they are still not female, but a male with a gaping hole where their penis once was.

Ah yes, the condition which you are referring to in which an individual is born anatomically female but possesses a Y chromosome is known as Androgen Insensitivity syndrome or testicular feminization. These individuals possess internal testicals and lack a uterus rendering them unable to bear children as they are actual male, although they do indeed possess the secondary sexual characteristics of a female.
Any way you cut it, individuals with Androgen Insensitivity syndrome are not female at all, but male. And yes anyone with Y chromosome is always and can only be male. YOU need to read up more on the subject since you obviously don't know what you are talkig about. These people who get this sort of surgery done can never ever be female.

I think we should ask the pope what his view on sex change is xD. As opposed to religion (not god however) wouldn't she 'think' logically (of course you can't do that well with the bible!) but as logically possible that her lord and savior made her a man for a reason.
On another note this isn't proper surgery for complete sex change since they cannot give birth. And for the vagina they basically stretch out the penis head all over the inside. Pretty messed up.

I thank the creator or whatever /whoever made me that there are people out there who have made sex reassignment surgery available for people like me who have always felt trapped in the body of a male but always felt female from the time I was self aware as a toddler. It gives us a shred of hope after a lifetime of horrible pain,loneliness,rejection,and agony. People are born with many different birth defects that the miracle of modern medicine can correct. Transexualism being one of them.:D

@chroslyn I had a very good friend who was a priest, and I met him only because he was a crossdresser. He has since passed away, I miss him terribly - but point was, he knew I was crossliving fulltime. He was gone when I went for surgery, but I feel he and God know enough to see the truth. People going through this aren't likely to be very sexually active at all statistically. Only a small percentage go into the sex trade, in fact those keeping the penis would do better.

As a transsexual woman, Knowing there are surgical options available is a big part of what keeps me going. I have to believe there's hope for some sort of "normalcy". Unfortunately, we also deal with bigotry, misinformation, and intolerance. As far as I'm concerned, I AM female, overcoming a birth defect. If small mindedness keeps you from understanding this, then the problem is yours. Not mine. I'm not after acceptance. Kisses. ~.^

Like I said, if you are mentally a female, then I cannot argue that. You are what you are in your own mind regardless of your genotype/phenotype. Now if you knew anything about Mendelian genetics (which you obviously do not) you would know in mammals XX=female and XY=female theres no exceptions to this rule. However it is the other way around in some fish and insects as well as in birds. I do not think you are either of those three. LOL.

Well, I cannot argue someone being mentally female. If an individual is mentally female, then thats what they are in their own minds. However theyre living in their own world since they can never become a true female. Now if someone wants to replace their penis with a hole in which a penis can be inserted, then i suppose it is not a false hope as they are getting their wishes fulfilled. However they are still not female, but a male with a gaping hole where their penis once was.

Indeed intersex individuals do exist as they possess the both gonadal tissue types, however it all boils down to genetics in the end. You are either genetically male or female although there exists certain afflictions such as klinefelter syndrome, androgen insensitivity syndrome, and turners syndrome just to name a few, but it always goes back to genetics. .

Again, I will say SRS is a sort of false hope in that these individuals cannot ever become female, but merely a male who has been pumped full of estrogen and had his penis cut out and inverted.

Ah yes, the condition which you are referring to in which an individual is born anatomically female but possesses a Y chromosome is known as Androgen Insensitivity syndrome or testicular feminization. These individuals possess internal testicals and lack a uterus rendering them unable to bear children as they are actual male, although they do indeed possess the secondary sexual characteristics of a female.
