Rossi is a legend in motogp, stoner rides 105% always, sometimes he pulls a lead from it. and i guarentee rossi tries to battle other riders, that would be stupid, the fact he was a little quicker is what made the tight racing, with rossi usually on top. every rider tries to pass and pull out a lead, yes?

Remember Philipp Island in 2003? He got a time penalty (10 seconds). After he saw it, he decided to drive 1-2 seconds faster per round. At this moment he saw it, the gap was not that big. I'm afraid you are wrong. Rossi developed the Yamaha into a winning bike and now he aims to do the same with Ducati. Rossi doesn't Race for winning teams; he creates them.Stoner and Ducati were a winning formula, but there were no surprises with the 2011 world champ - Honda is the BEST team and it is Stoner who doesn't enjoy a challenge. In 2011 Rossi has made in-roads with Ducati development and only time will tell if this is enough to mount a charge on the Honda/Yamaha show...

How can anyone say anything against Stoner's ability! He has shown he has an ability that not many others have, pushing that Ducati to race wins when even the legend Rossi can't do..yet(I hope he does). But Stoner most certainly has skill and speed as a rider, none of his team mates could do it, Rossi can't do it, Hayden can't do it. Stoner could. Now he's on a Honda and he totally demolished the field in 2011. Just like Rossi did. They are both legends, just Rossi has been around longer :)
@saaamcollins I agree with you. Credit must be given to Stoner, he tamed the Duke. He is a talented rider and will shine over the next few years and will battle Lorenzo for dominance. @2bsure Yea, I don't mean to take away from Rossi, I'm a huge fan of his too, but Stoner most certainly has just as much skill, when he was on the Duc he proved that and now that he's on an actual race winning bike he's cleaning up. I really really hope Rossi finds form with that Duc though, to see them two going at it and Jorge up there too would be fantastic :) Stoner isn't at the "legend" status like Rossi because he hasn't been around as long, but I have no doubt he is just as fast.
@saaamcollins Yes Stoner is a very good rider, he takes the chances Rossi might not. Rossi is a very cautious rider, I think throughout his career the risk of injury outweighs the winning. Now he has picked up a few injuries it must be on his mind more about falling especially as he gets older. Stoner is a skilled rider, his bike handling IS better than anyone out there and nowhere near as reckless as Lorenzo. He is good to watch. Lets hope for a great 2012. Peace.

I'm a fan of both but you cant say Casey isn't as good as Rossi when he rode the Ducati like that and no body else can then hop on the Honda and win the title and he would still be at the front if he were on a Yamaha i have no doubt he could give Suzuki a podium just like Rossi could but as for Ducati they lost the best component on the bike when Casey left and unless they let JB change the bike to be like all the other manufacturers or get Casey back it will stay as the career killer .

Man I have to say that I will NEVER EVER forget this Race in Laguna Seca because that was PURE Racing like it SHOULD be! How can anyone say anything against Stoner's ability! He has shown he has an ability that not many others have, pushing that Ducati to race wins when even the legend Rossi can't do..yet(I hope he does). But Stoner most certainly has skill and speed as a rider, none of his team mates could do it, Rossi can't do it, Hayden can't do it. Stoner could. Now he's on a Honda and he totally demolished the field in 2011. Just like Rossi did. They are both legends, just Rossi has been around longer :)

@saaamcollins I agree with you. Credit must be given to Stoner, he tamed the Duke. He is a talented rider and will shine over the next few years and will battle Lorenzo for dominance. I am a Rossi fan though, and I think it is a bit of an insult to compare the two just yet. Stoner has not yet reached the status of legend, in time maybe. I know what you mean though. Peace

@2bsure Yea, I don't mean to take away from Rossi, I'm a huge fan of his too, but Stoner most certainly has just as much skill, when he was on the Duc he proved that and now that he's on an actual race winning bike he's cleaning up. I really really hope Rossi finds form with that Duc though, to see them two going at it and Jorge up there too would be fantastic :) Stoner isn't at the "legend" status like Rossi because he hasn't been around as long, but I have no doubt he is just as fast.

@saaamcollins Yes Stoner is a very good rider, he takes the chances Rossi might not. Rossi is a very cautious rider, I think throughout his career the risk of injury outweighs the winning. Now he has picked up a few injuries it must be on his mind more about falling especially as he gets older. Stoner is a skilled rider, his bike handling IS better than anyone out there and nowhere near as reckless as Lorenzo. He is good to watch. Lets hope for a great 2012. Peace.

I'm a fan of both but you cant say Casey isn't as good as Rossi when he rode the Ducati like that and no body else can then hop on the Honda and win the title and he would still be at the front if he were on a Yamaha i have no doubt he could give Suzuki a podium just like Rossi could but as for Ducati they lost the best component on the bike when Casey left and unless they let JB change the bike to be like all the other manufacturers or get Casey back it will stay as the career killer .

Man I have to say that I will NEVER EVER forget this Race in Laguna Seca because that was PURE Racing like it SHOULD be!
