  • stop filming my place.....

  • is it haunted?

  • This is Inuyama Castle. Built in 1537. Compared to the other, this is small castle.

  • I remember those steep stares! lol

  • dont forget himeji-jo thats was original 2

  • @Tekirai

yes, but this one is older

  • I love that ancient design fire extinguisher, its awesome, thumbs up!

  • If you get the chance to visit Matsumoto castle do so! it is gorgeous!

  • matsumoto castle is beautiful as well. if you get the chance to go, GO!

  • Awesome. Amazing.

  • that was awesome!

the top floor sounded like it creeked a lot...almost as if the floor was going to snap!

  • The floor looks so shiny and clean! Do you have to change into a pair of slippers when visiting these places?

  • @geezaweebrek

    Sometimes.

  • If so, can you bring your own pair of slippers? I'm just a little picky of wearing "used" shoes ;-}

  • It looks like Inuyama jo, which has Japan's oldest original donjon. It is a beautiful place. Great vid -I am a big fan of your productions. Keep up the good work.

  • @jellybellyratz

    Correct!

    Thanks for your support.

  • That was a terrific video! I especially liked seeing how the lookouts slept with their eyes near the view holes. I also liked the 360 degree view from the top and imagined how things might have looked during the feudal era. -Kurt :-)

  • Thanks Kurt..

I always stand in those places and imagine the old days!

Did you see the Ninja house and Japanese village videos?

On this same play list.. over to the right there!

  • I have seen a couple of them and enjoy them all. I plan to work my way through more and more as time permits. Thank you for posting such interesting videos of your explorations and discoveries in Japan! -Kurt :-)

  • beautiful

  • Why so many fire extinguishers in that top room? Although i know flame arrors can be a fire hazzard! ; ) lol... Beautiful veiw from the top. Keep up the great vids, have watched every one

  • are those sakura all around the place

  • In spring that whole area is covered in blossoms. On the 1st weekend in April, the Inuyama Matsuri (festival) takes place near this beautiful castle & is unbelievably awesome. If you are in Japan at this time, it's a real treat.

  • あまりでかくないお城ですね

    どこのお城ですか?

  • I'm guessing Fire Arrows were the castles main drawback.

  • omg amazing extorior and interior design.

  • Gorgeous !!! <3

  • we all took off our shoes and wore the slippers that they gave us

  • That last shot made me think of something; have you ever made a vid on a boat down a river? i love water, so to me that would be extra great.

    ;-)

  • Will keep an eye out for a chance!

  • Beautiful

  • hm.. Just stone.. But why is that wall looks so flat?? I mean,, wow..

  • nice castle. I have a question. Are those castles are build up with concrete??

  • no, just stones which are cut and joined together

  • veracuiz: "nice castle. I have a question..."

As far as I know, all rebuilt castles built after the meiji period are using concrete but when it says "original" means built on wooden frame.

I think the big lumbers needed to build it in the old fashioned way are becoming rare. Or it maybe because it's safer from fire hazzard with concrete.

  • Yes, I am sure you are right about why they use concrete for replicas.

None of the castles I film are copies (because I don't see the point - they are just new buildings).

I called this one "original" because, other than some repairs to one wall, it has not been rebuilt at all.

  • TheJapanChannelDcom: "Yes, I am sure you are ..."

No point from historical view but from the commercial point such as tourism, it makes a good point. Google "Atami castel" They built a castle where no real castle ever existed but just for the tourism and everybody knows it's a fake. ^_^

People make a replica of T-rex even though we don't even know exactly what it looked like but it helps people to visualized it.

  • Sorry, I meant I "don't see the point" in me making videos about copies when I can make them about originals.

The copies tend to have concrete walls, carpet and electric lights and tend to be more like museums.

There is one like that 5 minutes from my house!

  • It is Inuyamajo in Aichiken Japan.

Can't remember the entry fee.. usually about 800 yen.

  • Wow that was incredible. where in Japan is that located? and does it cost to go in?
