@Godzilla1664 I agree, that first photo really caught my eye. She looks regal, mischievous and happy all at the same time. Maybe even a little smug. I liked her face, not a classic beauty, but certainly attractive and very sexy. Just finished reading Dark Victory, she had a voracious appetite for men, and her acting is beyond compare. I love Bette Davis!

She might not have been the most beautifull or glamorous, but in my opinion she was the most talented actress of her time;by a long way.

Bette Davis did,nt care if beauty was not in a particular role` she focused more on her characters than physical perfection sometimes. What ever happened to Baby Jane was a perfect example of that! she was totally unattractive with hard makeup

and harsh shadows, but thats why Bette was great because she brought magnetic power out of these characters

and made them live. She was beautiful

as well and a Queen of the silver screen to this day.

It may not be a pretty picture but it does demonstrate that Bette was a serious dramatic actress right up to the end.
