  • wow. you are my new favorite vlogger!

the fact that you understand sovreignty and can use the term in a sentance, is just tiny part of why you rock...

  • One of my more ranty videos to be sure, I'm almost embarrassed to listen to it as I watch it now. Thanks for the kind words, though it seems a bit sad that Youtube has such a tendency to lower our standards of interaction to the point where we're merely trying to find people who understand simple concepts like "sovereignty" lol.

  • i find what little bits of joy - where and when i can... :)

  • I would like to see you make a video about this attitude that American have that about focusing on the future and not on the past. To me it seem like a republican trick designed to absolve themselves of responsibility. If the executive branch of government isn't held accountable for their actions, doesn't that put them above the law? That sound to me like a very dangerous precedent.

  • I couldn't agree more.

  • When you have God on yer side you don't need logic or common sense!

  • awesome video, quite possibly one of the last sane ppl left in america my friend

  • I suspect Huckabee is no different than the rest, they really don't know the US Constitution, the Bible or any of the other things the profess to be defending.

In all this time I don't think I've seen you this "ranty"! btw, were you under the kitchen table when you did this? lol!

glad to see you're back on here Joe, commando or otherwise.

  • yeah, I don't like to just look at a camera and yell at people, but I had to blow off some steam. I do want to mix in some more vlog type vids with my more produced ones, but I'll try to stay above the table from now on:)

  • Excellent vid, brother. UN Charter is part of the Supreme Law of the Land. Most people find this hard to understand. I think you nailed it: they don't like it. Most Americans have never read the constitution. Keep up the good work!

  • Furthermore,.. The States, the creators of the Union, gave no authority to the central government via the U.S. Constitution for a treaty to be consummated with a foreign nation (1) that would empower treaty functions that they did not allow the U.S. government to have, or (2) that would obligate this Union and its States to do something that is contrary to the U.S. Constitution, or (3) that would transfer functions and activities assigned to the Union to any agency outside of the Union. :o)..

  • I disagree. :o)..

A treaty may not do or exceed what the Congress is charged to do or what it is forbidden to do. Constitutional authority supersedes, overrules, and precludes any contrary treaty authority.

Article II, Section 2, Paragraph 2 orders that the President: "...shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; [Emphasis added.]"

  • Burns was restating, Jam 2:20, "Faith without works is dead" :o).. (e.g. Acta Non Verba)

    As to your incorrect presupposition,

"all treaties made....under the Authority of the United States" ("under" designates that treaties are not over, not above, and not even equal to the authority of the United States granted to it by the States via the U.S. Constitution - but remain under, inferior to its jurisdiction). ;o)..

All civil magistrates are bound by oath to abide by the U.S. Constitution.

  • No, the word "under" signifies that the treaty is officially signed and ratified "under the Authority of the United States," not that the treaty itself is under or "beneath" the authority of our constitution. This is made clear by the next line; "shall be the supreme Law of the Land," which is what our constitution is referred to as...the law of the land. The treaties thus become part of our constitution for all legal purposes.

  • I'm sorry if I assumed incorrectly the intent of the Burns quote:)

  • Too bad all the people who know how to run the country are busy driving cabs and cutting hair -- George Burns

  • Is Burns implying that people who drive cabs and cut hair do so because their political opinions are not valid enough to raise their station in life? Is this what you're implying? Setting aside the arrogant and elitist implications of all that, you've yet to argue against a single point I've made in the video. If you disagree with something I've said, please tell me specifically where I'm wrong.

  • Men of greatness have no need for foul language, it only makes them look small in the eyes of other people.

  • I enjoy the english language, and find not a word of it "foul.":)

  • Wonderful stuff Joe — a brilliant reminder of the need for people who stand on a platform of principles laid down by any authoritative literature — religious or constitutional — to check exactly what they're signed up to, before swaggering round delivering bullshit.

  • brilliant video, once again exposing the insanity and egocentrism of american politics

  • You go Brouhajoe!!

  • Huckabee is just a ignorant neocon fascist who should be put in an insane asylum.

  • First of all it's so good to see you again.

Huchabee also wants to change the the constitution to be more in line with the christian way of life. Give me a break

  • Conservatives are good at cherry picking they've done it for so long I honestly don't think they even realize they are doing it anymore.

  • Great video! Well said.

  • Here here! If it's any consolation I don't think that Huckabee has read the bible either. Most fundies seem to not really read the documents that they claim to hold in high regard (thou shalt not kill etc). Huckabee is a joke, it's scary that he's gotten any real support though. The one plus is it makes it clear that evangelicals will follow a leader--any leader--right off the proverbial cliff. I think that we should let them.

  • The United Nations is only an assemblance of sovereign nations... nothing more. They are not united in one government. What is your goal? Is it to compromise the freedom of the U.S.A. by allowing foreigners to make decisions for us?

  • The United Nations is not sovereign. The UN is not an international government. The U.S.A. did not violate any international laws when it went into Iraq. In fact, the U.S.A. was enforcing UN Resolutions. You are seeking a one world government... okay... but that one world government does not exist at this point in time.

  • "The United Nations is not sovereign."

    -Never said it was.

"The UN is not an international government."

    -Never said it was.

  • "The U.S.A. did not violate any international laws when it went into Iraq."

-Yes, we did. The planning, preparing for, initiating and waging of an aggressive invasion of Iraq was a violation of the Nuremberg Tribunals charter. It was also a violation of the UN charter because......

  • "the U.S.A. was enforcing UN Resolutions."

......No, we were not. The security council mandated the completion of weapons inspections, which we cut off with our invasion. They also never authorized the use of force, though we tried (and failed) to get authorization in February '03. 1441 references the resolution authorizing us to drive Saddam out of Kuwait, and we use that as our excuse. You should read the charter, particularly articles 38-51 or so.

  • "You are seeking a one world government."

-No, I'm not, and I never said I was. In fact, I suggested we start a conversation in our country about whether or not we should revoke our signatory status from these treaties. I'm merely pointing out that until we do so, these treaties are "the law of the land" according to our constitution, which in three comments you have not denied...you've really done a great job of creating an entire straw man argument here to argue against.

  • You are truly confused about U.S. law.

  • Extremely good point there

  • Huckabee is a squirrel frying idiot who is tossing a final hail mary to the conservatives in an attempt to stay in the race. My guess is that he didnt know, but he did know exactly what that crowd wanted to hear...

  • And they ate it up too, it's a shame.

  • A shame yes...but far too predictable. McCain and Huckabee are two of the worst candidates I've ever seen.

  • I agree with almost all you've said but I must take issue with the idea that eating squirrel makes you an idiot. I am repulsed by the idea, but I'm equally repulsed by steak. Eating squirrel is an Appalachian thing. My dad has a Ph.D and he always hunted and ate squirrel when I was a kid. Poor folks eat what they have available to them and then later when they don't have to they get nostalgic for it. People eat beetles in Africa & for fuck's sake, think about sausage. Tofu is fine for me.

  • Point made. Apologies to the folks who eat squirrels. =)

  • lol what would your dad say squirrel tastes like anyway? They're all over the place in my back yard, and they have a hole in one of my trees...now I want some...

  • hehe...I never asked him but he'd probably grin and say "tasty". I think it's a relatively fatty meat. I wouldn't try an urban/suburban squirrel. If you want to see what they taste like then go out to the woods and get one. City squirrels probably taste like garbage, literally.

  • Yeah, the squirrel'd probably kick my ass anyway if I tried anything lol.
