@gijskasteni that's because a few years ago Kink darts against the rookie van Gerven at the Lakeside. Van Gerven was good darts and King stood behind. King then began to complain that the board is not well hung. The board was measured and was eventually just fine, but van Gerven was out of his rhythm and eventually lost. I find a good reason for someone to "hate" you know what?
@gijskasteni yeah i really also don't get that ....... it's one of the best players to watch , he has got a very natural and nice throwing style and lots of high scores and finishes ....... he is just more serious than lot of other players thats all .
@cockneypoll ok now i get it. i'm also a huge fan of van gerwen. because i'm from holland. but still. mervyn is a class player.
