A NICE BRIBE FOR THE AFFILIATES, IT BEAT THE COST OF HOOKERS AND BOOZE WHICH IS HOW THEY USED TO GET BUSINESS BACK THEN STILL DO I BELIEVE THE BLOOPERS ARE NOW USED TO BLACKMAIL LOCAL DISTRIBUTOIRS
The doofus from Rhode Island was Senator John Pastore, who made a career out of attacking sex and violence (whether it was there or not) on TV shows. Pastore was the chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Communications and was always holding hearings about TV, which got him a great deal of personal publicity. He was in the Senate from 1950 to 1977 and died in 2000.
This was shown at a CBS affiliate advisory board meeting in the summer of 1963 (almost all of the "TWILIGHT ZONE" sequences were from the fifth season episode "A Kind Of A Stopwatch" [10/18/63]). Arness refers to "John" at the beginning; he was the emcee at the gathering who probably introduced the film this way: "Well, you've seen what Television City is like. And now, let's travel to Dodge City and see what Marshal Matt Dillion- that is, James Arness- has to say about our filmed series..".
DVEVO--there were a lot of I Love Lucy bloopers but Desi Arnaz did not believe in doing retakes so they were pretty much left in the episodes. Do a search for I Love Lucy bloopers and I love Lucy flubs and you can see some of them.
No, sorry, no "I Love Lucy" bloopers. By the time this collection was put together by the network for the affliates to see, "I Love Lucy" had ended production & left the network lineup.
"I like to do that line over again"
Hahaha!

Lol @ Twilight Zone. Didn't know Serling had a sense of humor. He comes off all serious all the time.
