ADHD is a large subset of people with Hypoism.

AS person working with youth in the health care filed for 20 years, it is refreshing to have someone of Dr. Mate's expertise challenge the norm....well done. My definition on ADD- "I needed ATTENTION, there was a DEFICIT of it, so i got a DISORDER. We need to pay more attention to our future-youth.

@mamasuntwinkle We need to treat our children with respect, not dictatorships of the household. The reason we do it is that we don't have time for our kids anymore and it's a "quick fix" to punish them instead of sitting and talking to them. This guy is brilliant! I can't believe the stupids comments I just read.... This is very basic but so very important for whoever is raising children or will be a parent one day. I think one of the big problems is emotional abandonment as well as the fascination with what media are presenting as the truth and reality,

Does everyone have to have smooth cheeks, same haircut etc?

He looks fine to me. He would really look bad with short hair.

There are some people who have a lot less of facial fat and/or or lose more with age.

There are even diseases or medications that can cause that.

So all the dehydration comments likely miss the point.

Try to judge him by what he says and does, not by looks, which are good anyway. Just different.

Yes, I do not remember details, but they said that he was dehydrated, unkempt, and as such, not trustworthy.

I think we put too much stress on personal appearance, and we tend to want people in authority look all the same - tie, neat hair, no sign of stress or illness....

Humans in "developed" countries are bombarded with subliminal media to "impulsively buy" and to be impulsive in choice making. This is a direct effect of intentional programming. The brain is being conditioned toward these tendencies and can be "re-mapped" out of these tendencies. This is the only pathway to permanent cure for "ADHD". Ghoul...the doctor needs a hair cut ..... the doctor is also under hydrated, give him somewater to drink, --I read the Vancouver doctors book about his harm reduction clinic----the Canadians are calling him ghoulish names, and you know what..this fellow does look creepy, no fat pads in his cheeks, his eye sockets make him look underhydrated, his hair cut is bizzare

I met Dr. Mate a couple of years ago and I do think he looks different in this video - maybe he's ill or something, I have no idea. Regardless, it doesn't detract from his amazing intelligence and compassion.
