You're basically every bit as good as Peter Green. I wouldn't say that one could cover Bloomfield's style though by just playing standard tuned blues like this. One would have to play in a jazz format and then play in an acoustic, Doc Watson/Chet Atkins format to really get Bloomer's ability. Green did some good acoustic stuff with Mayall right?
@cameltooth1 Oh...no..no. no. Please, listen to as much Peter as you can. Honestly. Force yourself to listen, tho you shouldn't have to...make yourself as familiar with Peter's ability as you can. You won't say that again. I am sure. Thanks tho.
@skydog46 I certainly feel what Green plays, but he doesn't take my breath away like Bloomfield does on the numbers from Super Session and East West. He does sometimes play something undesirable for many people, including me, rarely. Peter's simpler style is very pleasing and tasteful. It's what you don't play that counts sometimes. I have just been taken with the indian classical interpretations thrown into the blues/rock genre. So many people automatically say that it's called psychedelia.
Thanks for posting this. Can you please tell my what scales you are playing? I believe the background is in D7? After the intro do you go to a F pentatonic scale? I'm guessing the scale is a mix of F pent minor and major? Thanks for your reply, I'm trying to learn this one.
Hey Dan, I wanted to work on this song tonight and I accidentally deleted the track. Any chance you can hook me up again with this track? I'll leave my email in your mail box if youir interested. Thanks man
Peter Green is one of my favorite guitarists and this song is one of my favorite Freddie King songs. I would like the backing track if available. Also, in what key are you starting the intro?
Yea, we don't want to see your face or hear ya' talkin'! Why? Because it takes time away from hearin' you tearin' it up!!! OMG AWESOME!!! Tone, chops et al RULER!!!
Well I still have the amp (its for sale) as no one has brought it. I'm getting to demo the Ulbrick very soon so I will keep you posted. Some good news is that I won a set of Skatterbrane PAFs! I entered a comp on MLP and won!
That was so sweet...how long does it take you to learn a song that well? I listen to you a lot and sometimes it makes me want to pick up mine and wail and other times....well, I just want to throw it in the creek. You are an amazing player and I really appreciate you sharing your talent with us!!
