In Moscow, it is the Turks who dominate the construction industries. Polish construction firms could take a big share of German and Russian construction because Poland has a good "softsteel" industry. Work to your 'strengths'. Use them to your advantage across Europe. With out the US economic muscle (450,000 trucks to Russia, to name just one itemd) carried by convoys, not to mentiong the direct-to-Britain flow of supplies, the British would have been soggy toast.

I'm from Canada but visited Poland back in the summer of 2008 for visiting family and wouldn't trade my visit for anything else. such a beautiful country full of history, architecture, and great people! We We stayed on the baltic side of the country so unfortunately didn't get to see all the beautiful scenery that was shown in this video but it was still beautiful. We visited numerous cities and towns and everyone was so nice and the food was amazing. I couldn't imagine anyone who hates Poland.

In Moscow, it is the Turks who dominate the construction industries. Polish construction firms could take a big share of German and Russian construction because Poland has a good "softsteel" industry. Work to your 'strengths'. Use them to your advantage across Europe. That's the message.

My reference to the Italians and construction is about how a disadvantaged people (like italian immigrants to Canada) came with a willingness to work and seek education, and within 50 years developed the business skill to be very productive ad to the greater prosperity. That is admirable, and in non-communist Poland the Poles could do the same....

@MexicansROompaLoompa If you want to make legitimate and USEFUL claims, note the virtuosity with which the Polis "schwarzarbeiter" (black market workers) in the German construction trades and things like motor vehicle repairs can "add value" so extremely well. Those are seriously important skills that will stand Poland in VERY good stead. They became excellent craftsmen out of necessity, and in the German environment are VERY creative! and thus very cost effective. Serious praise Mexi.

With out the US economic muscle (450,000 trucks to Russia, to name just one itemd) carried by convoys, not to mentiong the direct-to-Britain flow of supplies, the British would have been soggy toast.

For us destitute refugees the selection of Canada grew out of the respect for both military bravery and civilian goodwill that the Canadian forces evidenced in Europe. I'm from Canada but visited Poland back in the summer of 2008 for visiting family and wouldn't trade my visit for anything else. such a beautiful country full of history, architecture, and great people! We We stayed on the baltic side of the country so unfortunately didn't get to see all the beautiful scenery that was shown in this video but it was still beautiful. We visited numerous cities and towns and everyone was so nice and the food was amazing. I couldn't imagine anyone who hates Poland.

When I'm reading all these comments from the "western modern world" i feel sick. You hate poles because they came there looking for money? Whel maybe you should have closed your borders like 20 years ago then you would'nt have problem with black's & arabs. Poland is poor ONLY because England (whom Poland saved in 1940 & France didn't move their asses to attack the 3 Reich. The II World War whould have finished in maximum 3 months.So its all your fault west that you have a problem now!

@gallsass Poland has always been backward and poor, not because of WW II. This is what Christopher Clark wrote in his book 'Iron Kingdom' on the history of Prussia. Whenever Prussians entered Polish cities they 'found appalling backwardness, poverty and misery'. Christopher Clark, Iron Kingdom, Penguin Books, Page 488. According to Clark, Prussians had even coined a term describing Polish administration - 'Polish management'.

@juicyhazel Polakia is where Polaks live. Because the borders of Polakia keep moving all the time, it is hard to tell where precisely these borders are. As to the word Polak, it is the Polish word meaning Pole. In English, the word Polak has become a racial slurr/derogatory title for a person of Polish descent - "Man that guy is such a Polak", usually referring to a rude, ill-behaved, backward and uncultured individual.
