Something that hit me when I began watching this LP game is in most RPG's you get money, yes of course even here, but you often get like 100, 150 etc etc here you get a quite odd number of the Gems...anyone else thought of that?
Ark cause the flower to be deflowered. Nice LP, I actually caught up to this point and I never thought those hidden areas was gates to unlock other locations.
Birds eat parts of some plants and the part that is eaten has a seed in it and the bird "carries" the seed in its stomach and "deposits" it somewhere else leading to more plants. Think kiwi fruit and the fact that most people don't spit the seeds out.
haha! i'm using the LPs as a kind of a walkthru! but i didn't wait for this episode to come out and went ahead to the birds' place... so i missed the secret area! :(
I'm sorry. I've tried playing that game for a week (real time), and it's doing nothing for me. Maybe it gets better, but I think I've given it a fair shot by now.
@HCBailly I think I know the problem. You don't know the Pin Evolution Flow. That turns many people off. That or because it's targeted to a younger and different demograph (people who are into Japan and it's people)
It took me awhile, but I think I understand the battle mechanics. It's just totally unnecessarily complicated.
The graphics are okay, but I don't care much about that. The music doesn't draw me into the world and the plot is depressing.
If I had even one thing that I really liked about the game, maybe I could play long enough for the other factors to catch up. From what I saw, there's nothing that grabs me. No offense.
Actually, dandelion leaves are highly nutritious. They are another one of the world's "supper foods." Very much in the same category as broccoli or garlic.
The one thing you have to watch out for is whether or not somebody has put pesticides on the dandelion or not. In witch case, you had better not eat it.
Also, most verities of dandelion are rather bitter. There are some other verities though that are actually commercially grown on farms that are not bitter at all.
It is just like eating food from your garden. The only difference is that you need to be able to identify witch plants are edible and witch will give you digestion problems (witch is the worst you will get from about 80+% of the poisonous plants out there.)
I have taken quite an interest as it just makes sense. There are several people who get lost in the woods and starve to death while trampling all over several edible plants.
Another brilliant ep, HC! I woulda watched it yesterday, but I was a little one the busy side. Btw, I think the music makes up for the fact you're essentially watching digital grass grow. I frankly woulda called this ep "Ark, Master Landscaper", but to each their own. Keep up the brilliant work! :D
HCBailly, I have a question for you. When you were talking about North America and reviving the birds and stuff, you had mentioned Alfred Hitchcock and his movie "The Birds." I know you're not a big fan of horror movies... and really, neither am I.
But I was wondering... do you like horror GAMES? I like LPers doing a horror game.
Whoa! I just read on your channel that you're considering Dragon Warrior as one of your next side LPs! HOW epic would it be to LP all the Final Fantasy AND Dragon Warrior titles!?
Those pins in The Worlds End With You are pretty powerful y'know... Only IF we didn't have to use it for enemy encounters and a minigame, it'd be awesome to just blast the face off of someone you hate... with a single pin. ¬.¬
Looks like that secret area is around either northeastern Mexico or Texas (unless the proportions are off..) I do see the Mississippi River, though, so that's cool..maybe the Great Lakes are there, too?
This might not be like The Birds, but there's another Alfred Hitchcock movie that ends in that rough geographic location..though I doubt HC is going to have to climb on giant statue heads to beat this area...though, knowing this trilogy..
There is a way to heal for free in Chapter 2: Examine the small tree to the right of the Ra Tree and eat the fruit (at least I think it's a fruit...) that comes out. This restores your HP.
Since Youtube is not letting me post the "Every sperm is sacred" song lyric from Monty Python to go with HCBailly quote, just go watch it on youtube if you want to hear it. =)
Hmm... Now I see my comment is kind of weird, because: After i posted it I've seen that this flower actually is a Dandelion (german = Löwenzahn). I was referring to a show here in Germany which is called after that flower and in the intro there is a Dandelion growing slowly out of the ground (/watch?v=kf_HW7ygCRU).
And HCBailly these spores are seeds: Just search in Google Pictures for "Pusteblume".
I usually either find them annoying or hilarious (in a bad way).
One that I HAVE liked was "Silence of the Lambs", but that's more of a psychological thriller.
Of course, Anthony Hopkins is just plain awesome.
Case in point: Apparently during a screening of one of the movies in the series Anthony Hopkins was in the theater and leaned over to a woman and asked creepily in her ear, "Are you enjoying the movie?"
Funny enough, I hardly ever use the GrassPin for healing.
I grind so much in certain levels (I gain 6 levels in Louran and 5 in Sylvain Castle), the gems I get from it is enough to keep me permanently stocked up on healing bulbs.
@HCBailly I guess using the rock throw @ 10:00 is like getting back at all the enemies that used it against you in Final Fantasy Tactics, eh?

Figures that the first flower to sprout would be a dandelion. Those things are like the cockaroach of the plant world.
I believe you were looking for the word "pollen"
Birds eat seeds, some of which go undigested, which helps new plants spread out.
High Anxiety (Mel Brooks) has a great parody scene of The Birds.
