  • A puppy in a hat box? Like Lady and the Tramp? How sweet! :)

  • the part of him creating mickey on the train is not true, its an urban legend... the character was really created between Urb and Walt over sessions back at Hyperion

  • @DODPHOTOGRAPHY im pretty sure the walt disney documentary makers would have researched that.

  • @DODPHOTOGRAPHY The generally accepted story (at least nowadays) was that Hugh Harman doodled a couple of mices on a photograph of Walt, back when Harman and Isling were working at the Disney Studios, making Oswald. Ub Iwerks was with Walt and Lilly on the trip, when Charles Muntz took Oswald from them. Then on the train ride back, they started talking and Ub remembered the picture of Walt with the mice. Lilly, taking great pride, decided on Mickey rather than Mortimer.

  • @DODPHOTOGRAPHY walt came up with the idea of mickey (originally mortimer) on the train. then he and ub changed the design back at the studio and made him what we know today
