That's an awesome ship! Too bad it doesn't meet Roddenberry's Design Rules. They made Voyager's nacelles tilt up when going to warp so that it meets his four rules.
@mmv44 Well the "design rules", as it were, only really applied with the day when visual effects technology made fast-flying ships difficult to see on-screen. The original Enterprise needed to be instantly recognizable in silhouette, so you can see even a quick blur and go "on hey, that's the Enterprise". Now CGI animation and camera on model shooting has improved to such a degree, even the smallest of detail can be seen, therefore making the "design rules" somewhat a moot point.
Nice vid, I love the pictures except for the last one asa the person who made it obviously doesn't know how to use a ruler as the Diligent Class is clearly longer in length than it is wide.
So a Length of 188 and a Width of 103 is clearly wrong.
it's a great looking ship, meets pretty much all of the "rules" for a ST ship, looks like a great escort/fighter, but one thing, as an escort.fighter type ship i would expect to see impulse drive, yeah i saw them but they really seem small and would really be a drawback, but thats just nitpicking, still really cool.
looks pretty cool.. once it was CG-ed.. the paper drawing looks not star-trek-y. too many sharp points. It was rounded later. I wish they actually use the captain's yacht. :) except for just that one time.
Beautiful! Certainly one of the most original and professionally done out there. Just curious as to the larger than average nacelles and purpose of them retracting?
@explorer47422 The retraction of the nacelles might serve two purposes; one is the same as Voyager's setup; warp field geometry and efficiency. The other could be the same reason the Defiant's nacelles are integral: to provide less of a target than two nacelles mounted on pylons would.
cheers man, awesome

8 decks huh so its in the escort weight class, in that case why phaser arrays and not cannons?

Finally someone cool to put an awful lot of effort and skill, not to the time for people to enjoy!!!
all I can say is thank you and fair play to you!

It would be also cool to incorporate the multivector attack design entertained in voyeger + holographic dummy ships

Would love to see this vessel, USS Defiant, USS Phobos, and the Eximus Class(such on youtube) in one video! Throw the Enterprise into the mix.

Nice design. Obviously Federation but different. Different is good. Sure beats some of the near-kitbashes around the net.
