@dummiexx2 Overclocking increases the standard speed (on the multiplier) and the voltages of a cpu. If you slightly increase it it should just go fine , but if you crazily increase it will be history... And you need an aftermarket cpu cooler... Or the temperatures will kill the cpu. You must know what you're doing :D
the vid was uploaded 2years ago!! but his system seems to have a compaq motherboard, how did he overclocked it??? if it's through an windows app that can modify the fsb then he overclocked all the system component at the same time: cpu gpu (pci or pcie or agp), ram mainly.
good luck! (after 2years i think he had found a solution already)
when u overclock the cpu, it consumes more energy then it normally would. I think the GPU may not be receiving enough voltage during some moment at startup. But i'm not sure, u should really run some stress test program like Orthos to check stability
What did you overclock? Your GPU or CPU? or both? If you oc your gpu, get a new one. I agree with Robert1995 That looks like a graphics error. Not processing being screwed up.
Is there a way to increace my processor from 1.69 Ghz to 1.9 Ghz? I bough assassin's creed for my pc and my processor isnt fast enough... or about how much would it cost to upgrade my processor
replace graphics card I had this once with some 128mb nvidia piece of agp crap. Memory damage, replace card. Seeing as you overclock, you want performance. Go ATI, they're better value, faster, more user friendly. NVidia can go die. Hd 5770 $200 AU MID RANGE Hd 5850 Highest for the average person HD 5870 UBER!
with the shitty compaq with your shitty stock cooler u shouldnt be overclocking...build a real gaming rig kid..buy a good air cooler or water cooler..then overclock....jesus...frying perfectly good comps..alltho compaq is the shittyest brand ever....but still...
and,the video is fake, never a computer could has interference...that is fake, could show blue screen, turn off the computer, but that is never...if you vote this video whit 5 stars and you say,omg what happen or you have add much ghz so you are a idiot
really, its called artifacting, when some thing gets to hot... that shit starts happing, and its not a good sign. just google artifacting in google images, there is plenty. and i have had this happen
its not his hard drive, this is most likley the gpu, or the ram, if it was teh cpu it would slow WAY down.
i have tech knowledge unlike boom122808 who just by the name i can tell is 12. i knew a 12 year old that took a hammer to a 5970 gpu when he tryed to fit it in to a pci and not a pci e!!!
Doesn't seem too bad but it might get worse, if it dose i suggest you wipe your hard drive cus i think its sumthin to do with that program the pops up at startup.
Seems much more slower than before overclock. :) :) :) drink tea go shopping and come back so your computer will be finally on by the time you arrived
its a way of running extra electricity through your computer and making it run at about 2-10 times faster than it normally does... i think. but dont do it cuz its not safe lol.
I once tried overclocking the GFX using Rivatuner. i tried putting it to its max and setting it, the display became some kind of broken interface of my OS.. I just restarted it and it returned to normal.
I again tried overclocking(not maxing it out this time) and suddenly it worked but the performance just decreased after it.. and I can't somehow run my games...
Thats not the point of increasing slowly. The point of increasing in small increments is to find the maximum frequency the pc runs stable with and when you go over the maximum and the pc is unstable you can go back to your last stable setting.
XD the same thing happened to me...your video card drivers are messed, its not a hardware problem because it either works or it doesn't in that case, switch to your integrated GPU then delete you current drivers and reinstall. And for everyone who said it's a hardware problem look at it this way Computers use binary 1 and 0. so it either works or it doesn't DDDDDRRRRRRR :/
True. I had messed up my overclocking settings, then my PC shut down and don't turned on. Then, i take he CMOS jumper, waited 26-30 seconds, replaced it and now, my pc is working.
Overclock when you raising frequencies and you made them bigger than default. Without good cooling, this can lead to a serious damage to your system components. (sorry for bad english)
Dawm that is one slow as windows Xp boot well my 6 year old hp with a 120gb HDD and a 3.5 Ghz intel pentium 4 processor and only 512mb of ram can load windows Xp in 38 seconds.
I think I got more than a million files and still boot quiet fast. More important how much stuff it has to load up and how much GB you used of you HDD.
Damn that was very slow start up and took more then 20 secs..... mine takes like 5 secs but i have a Quad and SLI so i belive you need a new pc mate Comoq are crap....
