@sugarvalleysouth Duane was one of Jack's many influences. Jack pays homage to Duane when he plays this song. I believe it was Jaimoe who said, when asked what Duane would be doing musically if he were still living, "He'd be Jack Pearson!" Jack is as well rounded a musician as I have ever witnessed. You should see him play Whipping Post on mandolin.
Wow, to see my man Bill Ector up there doing the intro. I know you are watching over us. I also know the great connection you had with Jack. Such a great thing to see, and Bill we miss you up here in the northeast. Jack, you are a gentleman's gentleman, and despite the fact you left the ABB and Warren and Derek are monsters and your friends, I will always feel there is room for you. Thanks for the music.
said it b4 and 'll say it again, how the allman brothers let this guy get away is beyond me. duane's the touchstone no doubt and dickey's blue sky and jessica are for the ages...but jack pearson is hands down THE best guitar the Allman Brothers 'll ever have
Jack left the Allman Brothers Band on his own terms,he was a great fill in for those two years he was in the band.but as far as the best, just me, but those two guys Warren and Derek do a fine job..
@swennsyever9 Jack left on his own, because his hearing was being affected, and Dickey refused to re-arrange the stage amps to accomodate him. That's from Jack's own mouth, on his own website.
Sweet! So smooth and beautiful!

I love Nashville. He is from there and has a family. He plays live shows, travels as much as he wants, and gets plenty of work in town.
