Perhaps he is referring to the compassion that was felt and shown by the rest of the world after Hitler destroyed Europe (read: the Jews). For example, If it werent for Hitler there would be no Israel. This may seem Crass (Im CrassBastard) but I would hazard a guess and say some of the Israelis (again, read: Jews) would (privately) thank Hitler.
