@mcpogi4u Yup it seems very stressful to get so many drinks ready so fast imean , i make drinks at my home and even when i try i can't work really fast so imean if i was a barista i would freak so easily.
This video makes it appear as though Starbucks is a great company at which to work. But I have friends who, like some of the other people commenting, have not liked working there.
Want a free $100 Starbucks giftcard? All you gotta do is answer a few easy questions and type your email at the end and you got one! Takes like a minute. The code Will be sent to your email and it will work on the starbucks website! Heres the link.

I think I'd enjoy working for Starbucks, even as a barrista, but the problem is that I have a bit of a lower back problem so I can't stay on my feet for long periods, and sitting down on the job I imagine is a no no :/
@Shukria123 so do i, the workers are nice, i just hate how part of the hiring process in canada and america is the number rule to have a up beat personality with a smile on 24 7..
@hollyannewesley It's always busy there(lots of customers) and their employees are always working hard(for fear of losing their jobs), and the pay and benefits aren't that great. If you don't believe me, go to any Starbucks.
@MrBlackMug So agree with you, if you're lucky enough you will get cool SM and ASMs. I used to be lucky not anymore that I got a very cocky manager. They asks you to do everything and expects you deliver excellent service without considering our capability. No more fun, they only want profit, PROFIT AND PROFIT. Kudos to their marketing team who make good advertisements and excellent promotions. I feel sorry for those who actually bought their frappucino as 70% of the content is from ice cubes.
Starbucks is not a need. It's a want. I know how to make my own pot of coffee JUST the way I love it, pour it into a thermal mug and WHAMMO! I've just saved ten thousand dollars a year by NOT worshiping Dagon (the god that's their symbol) or partnering with another corporation that I ALSO DON'T NEED!
Geoff, manages my old district! I miss working in DT Seattle. :( Seattle area sbux in general. Working in DT Denver is'nt the same. The management teams don't have the same mentality nor do they give you the same support or leadership. They don't make you feel like you are part of a bigger picture, trying to make a difference in the world or even make someone's day a little brighter. I truly miss the people in Seattle. They made working @ sbux fun & enjoyable. Sadly, I'm looking for a new job.
@cyrusaman Pause the video at 1:09. Do you see the foam quality? It isn't worth pouring into a drink. Not to mention that there is easily 30-40 oz of milk in that pitcher, which is against starbucks policy of steaming milk for one drink at a time.

And they don't mention you get paid $8. For drinks that cost $5, you'd think they would make more. I wonder where that money goes? Hrm...

So that is why Starbucks is so expensive - You have to get through all the salaries for these managers just for a cup of coffee.

@dsfdsfa47 Also, in all fairness, that scene of the barista wasn't shot in a Seattle Metro store (partners in Seattle don't wear caps).
