To clear things up on what song is what...

Requiem for a Dream is a movie with a song called Lux Aeternia (the original/other song with vocals). Requiem for a Tower (this version) is a remix made in homage to (and named after) the movie Lux Aeternia was in.

Also, for a while (not sure about now) it had no copyright restrictions, since it wasn't released as part of the official LotR sound track. This might also be why it was in so many trailers for a while.

Oh I almost forgot,, I got question though, on other people's videos, this song only runs about 4 minutes, but on this version it runs about 6 minutes. So this one is the "full one" rather than the others that they cut off the the starting part of the song and only use the intense part?

Yes it is.

Most people cut it off at certain points yes,that is true,but not always to make it start at the intense part,some people only have the beginning leading to the intense part but they dont always do it on purpose,sometimes thats the way it is when they download it or import it off a disc,I was one of the lucky ones to find the site that has the full version,which is the one in the description,it should still be a working link,I havent check to see if its been taken down though.

@Arbitar79 Don't wanna insult you, but you got it wrong there. This one is not an official version at all, it's a fan remix of "Lux Aeterna", the original song by clint mansell for the movie Requiem for a Dream and "Requiem for a tower", or let's say the three "Requiem for a Tower" songs, which were used in LotR Trailers.

The original version by clint mansell is 3:54 and uses only strings, each one of the little Requiem for a tower is like 50 seconds long.

So long story short, you're wrong :P

Theres just little differeneces,some different notes,different tunes,stuff like that.

I know one of the 2 is a remix of the other,but I cant remember which it is,I think this ones the remix...although its not much of a remix,just the same song mixed up a bit.

As I understand it, Lux Aeterna, aka "Requiem for a Dream" featured a beautiful vocal soloist throughout the song. For movie trialer purposes, Requiem for a Tower was created as a remix with the most significant change being the absence of the vocal solo to keep the focus on whatever happens to be going on in the screen. Personally I like the Tower version best, but both are extremely well done.

@datchda "Requiem For A Dream" is a very bad version of this work. You cannot buy this song ("Requiem For A Tower"), just download it. I have it, but I'm not satisfied, because I like audio CDs much more :-)! For the ones interested: there is also an intro version of "Requiem For A Tower", which is a seperate song and takes 1.29 mins (at least I hope so, there are the crappy 2.movements, 3. movements that you could buy-> these I don't mean).

If I know theres a virus on a link I dont add the link,and if someone ever adds a virus to the link I take it off.

And the vid link doesnt have a virus either,or else youtube would alert me and take the vid down or ask me to,so dont worry.

No,theres none,its a protected site because its one of those sites where anyone who has an account can post whatever they want,but if theres something that has a virus its not allowed on,there may be those stupid cookie,but pretty much every site has those,they're harmless they just make spam but you can get rid of them easily.
