I want to give you a big thanks as I have received my TOEFL scores 27,26,26,27. They may not be good but I was really miserable on speaking and writing to even expect this score. Thanks a lot you have made me attain a sustainable position.
I scored 107 in the toefl and I thank you for all the help you have provided. I would not have crossed 80 if i hadn't seen these online classes and practiced according to your tips. Thank you so much for helping me cross the toefl hurdle. Hoping more students benefit from these classes.
Are you still in the toefl business? Most of your videos are two or more years old. I am just wondering if you have a plan to post more toefl materials. I appreciate for your help. Even though your have few videos, they are wonderful. Thanks
perhaps i should have only used ur videos on you tube, i unecessarily wated money on your speaking product and you never seem to have the time to give me a feedback. utterly disappointed
Oh my god! I am going to do toefl at the 17th of sep.! Although I speak and understand english well and I lived in US for a while, I think I won't be able to get 92 which is required in my uni.
I have given toeflibt 3 times. I need reading-21,Listening-17, Speaking-26 and writing-24. Last time I received a score of Reading-19, Listening-20, Speaking-24 and writing-25. How can you help me to get the required scores.
I have received my scores: 28R/29L, but especially - 27 on Speaking and 29 on Writing!!
This is mainly thanks to you and your work! I am quite sure I would not have managed otherwise. I will now recommend you and your page to all my friends heading for TOEFL.
I feel like I'm at a real course for TOEFL preparation, even better than this I took an year ago. Thank you. I need not more than 24 point on speaking and the same results for other sections. Hope I will get them.
but . i have a question, according to the all of your question except number 6 . those questions are included the conclusion . Thus, do we have to say " that's why .... " . Hopefully, you got my question ;)

It's TOEFL MADE EASY with you Joseph. Thank you so much for sharing. This video definitely helped me a lot. I answered question 6 spontaneously using the tips that you mentioned getting 28 in my speaking. i owe it to you. Godbless you!
Joseph, thank you so much. I have spent so much money for English schools, and the only thing they told me was to speak as fast as I could. You are the best! I appreciate what you are doing.
@niwasazuke Just got my score. 102 in my first attempt. Lot of credit goes to you, lucky I find your lectures just before I went for test and you polished my skills with few smple techniques that really helped me out. Thank you man!

By the way, it is a little difficult to listen to this one. I guess its sound was recorded in mono-channel? (Im sorry I dont know the technically proper word). 9mins of listening to it made me dizzy ^^
I've taken this exam several times..I need 26 in speaking section, how would I get a higher score ? the template here only shows not much content and intelligible response within one minute?
@sheila20102 You're right. The example in the video is basic, so it won't help pull your speaking score up to a 26, but it provides the foundation. Use the exact same structure but add all the content you can within that minute. Here's an extra tip: the general definition of the subtopics are not as important to your score as the example of the subtopics. So, don't get stuck talking about the definition so much that it doesn't give you enough time to explain the example. I hope that helps.
thanks a lot Mr.joseph.your videos helped me a lot for my toefl test.I was able to get 29 in the speaking section just by looking at your videos.they were simple and very helpful.god bless you.
@MCRHINES Incredible score. Congratulations. Thanks for letting me know. Reading posts like this always makes me want to post more and better videos. I'm happy my videos played a role in helping you succeed to that level. Good luck in your future plans.
@lahivelo001 Thanks for the positive words. I posted more videos about questions 1 of both the speaking and the writing. I hope you check them out because I think you'll also find them helpful. Good luck and let me know if there's anything I can do to help you in your preparation. Joseph
Thanks guys, your postings are GREAT. I suggest that you hide the negative comments; They made me nervous although, the test is not that difficult eventhough I am not native and I have never lived in an English environment
Hi Joseph, im glad i found your site. It helps me to raised my speaking section to 3 pts after taking couple of hrs from your free videos here. I will be taking your package 1,2,3 soon. I hope this will help me to improve my score to the maximum. Thanks for this awesome help.
Wow, 30 in speaking is great. If you want to concentrate more on reading, you just have to develop your reading muscle. Try sitting down and going through a newspaper or magazine for two hours. If you can concentrate that long on technical material, you shouldn't have too much trouble on the test. If you can't do that now, build up to it. Good luck and congratulations again.
I found your lecture super-helpful. I got max score for speaking. Thank you very much. Anyway, I'm going to retake the test after Tet ( Vietnamese Tet). Hope to let you know a better result next time :)
well, when you soeak now, im sure that its really easy but i was on the exam and had 20 in speaking... but i was very nervous and this is really baad!! :) on sunday i have another exam... i hope i will do my best...
Yes, you can. You first listen to the conversation or lecture and you can take notes while you are listening. Then, you get the questions one by one and you can use your notes to help you answer the questions. I hope that helped. Joseph.
Im gonna be taking it at jersey city where i live. well at least you've experienced it for once. I have no clue about what to do especially on the speaking part. im way more nervous than you
applying that structure is gonna help me a lot. Im gonna be taking it next sat and probably be drawing these 3 boxes on the speaking part lol.Thank you
Thanks so much for such a prompt reply ^^.You did enlighten me A LOT, teacher. I sure will follow your recommended method of attacking Q6. To be honest, I will take the test this August; only two weeks away. So anxious :(
I only have one last question, though. I would like to know whether your method has ACTUALLY been proved to be valid. As I see from the Princeton Review, among other iBT prep books, the response to Q6 often really ELABORATES on the two examples, while you only MENTION them!
Yes, what I teach is 100% valid because I've taken the test to ensure that all of my strategies work and are accurate.
This is a basic example. It would earn a fair score on the test (18/30 to 20/30). For a perfect score, you need the same structure but many more details.
If you want to see some more of my videos, check out my other you tube video on Speaking #1 and #2 and the videos on my site: NoteFull.
Can I add this sentence at the end of my response: "As obvious from the lecture, both whales and rodents can adjust their internal heat in response to the changes in the temperature of the environment."?
P.S: Thanks very much for such straightforward guidelines. Hope you'll address my question soon :D
Rodents want an internal temperature of 40 degrees, and their environment can reach 50 degrees. Rodents spread saliva across their bodies. As the saliva evaporates, it cools the rodents, which helps keep their internal temperature constant.
The second is evaporative cooling. (When an animals environment is hotter than its internal temperature, it uses this to avoid absorbing too much heat. The professor explains that when water evaporates, it cools the surface.) He discussed rodents to illustrate this
The first is the insulating power of fat. (When an animals environment is colder than its internal temperature, it uses this to counteract heat loss.) The professor discussed whales to illustrate this. Whales have insulating fat called blubber under their skin. When the surrounding water is much colder, this blubber helps keep the whales warm.
The professor discusses thermoregulation. (He explains that thermoregulation is the process that animals use to keep their internal temperature constant.) He explains two types of thermoregulation.
It is a good explanation of speaking #6. But it can be only scored about 2-3 of 4 (lack of detail). Could you please give a sample scoring close to 4? Thanks.
That's true. The example was the simplest one. But, it showed the structure. Here's another example. This will be a high-level response. The words in parentheses ( ) you don't have to have to earn a perfect score, but they'll guarantee one. I'll post the response in a different post. Joseph.

Thanks for the positive feedback.
Yes, what I teach is 100% valid because I've taken the test to ensure that all of my strategies work and are accurate.
This is a basic example. It would earn a fair score on the test (18/30 to 20/30). For a perfect score, you need the same structure but many more details.

Can I add this sentence at the end of my response: "As obvious from the lecture, both whales and rodents can adjust their internal heat in response to the changes in the temperature of the environment."?
P.S: Thanks very much for such straightforward guidelines. Hope you'll address my question soon :D
Hieu9008 2 years ago
Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm happy the video helped. Honestly, I wouldn't add that sentence.
If you want a conclusion, I would use "That's how the professor discusses the topic of thermoregulation."

Thanks.
Toefltaker 3 years ago
That's true. The example was the simplest one. But, it showed the structure. Here's another example. This will be a high-level response. The words in parentheses ( ) you don't have to have to earn a perfect score, but they'll guarantee one. I'll post the response in a different post. Joseph.
