Actually this truck isn't set up as a true plow truck. If it were it would have an extended front frame with a true HD plow. This has a bolt on light duty plow. Henderson makes a great combo body called the MuniBody II that has intergral sand chain and spreader system. It hauls several tons more material than Vbox add ins. This truck is just a typical tri-axle set up to do some snow work. If that plow hits a manhole hard...it'll be destroyed.
Needs a spreader box dump body. Its a bed with a built in sand conveyor chain. And functions as a normal bed otherwise. Lets you get a full load of sand versus the V-box drop ins.
True. I don't know why soo many municipalities and contractors still insist on using them. A lot more unnecessary weight with a V-box. The year-round versatility is reason enough to go with an all-season body.
well Norway in the wealthiest country (living standard and money/person) in the world. Since this company helped out a cruise ship company, money doesn't play a big role here.

at the conditions which are at the moment in northern Germany, this plow wouldn't get far, even Unimogs and Hägglunds got stuck there
