This looks like our house in Des Arc, Arkansas. Great song and I'm back watching your beautiful video full of memories and hearing you awesome song. 5 stars --:)Rod
Very touching video Carol.I love the way you sing it,very heartfelt.Super great arrangement and choice of pics.I can imagine how it was for you to put all this togather.Mighty fine job,and something you'll allways have.
Very special and heartfelt. The place my mom and dad use to own was in the little town of Marnaduke , Arkansas. It lost the roof in a tornado a few years back but it was still standing last time I saw it. Thank you for posting this video and it sure brings back some great memories. --:)Rod
I'm crying too now...This was so sad, so heartfelt. I can't say that I know how you feel because i've never had to go thru this(yet anyways), but I can only imagine how it must feel. Take care! peace&love Queenie :-)
I know you know how I feel, I know how you feel. We could probably easily cry together. Bless your heart. A feeling I wouldn't wish upon anyone. ((Peace to you Pamela))
I have to agree. Just yesterday we drove by my moms old house and found it up for sale again. I just can't help wanting to buy it as I feel so drawn to that house. It will always be home to me. Thank you for listening RonanG!
Aww that must be very hard singing this too.... Thanks for sharing something that means so much to you. That gives our friendships deeper connections. This last couple days, it seems like I've know your family for a long time.
You and SistaShery are a very good artist and your songs paints those sweet memories lovingly... ***Hugs&Pecks*** to a beautiful human being with not only a Golden Hair, but a Heart of Gold inside.*****
One of the hardest to sing & make into video. To even watch or hear again. It was hard saying goodbye to our childhood home. Selling all it's content... Oh, my mom would have loved you - this I know! Thank you from my heart, brother. ((HugsnPecks))
Dear Carol, this is hard to watch because it wasn't just a house but our home-filled with love, laughter and tears. You have done a superb job in saving all those memories in this heartfelt, touching video. I'm so proud of you as I know Mom would be, too. The walls are filled with the ring of our laughter; your video lets them speak. I pray someday I will be able to watch without crying. A very beautiful ***** video by a very beautiful ***** sister. I love you, Khris
This may always be hard to watch sissy. You are so right in saying it wasn't just a house but it was our home. Moms home. Think I will always miss it. Been very hard putting these videos together. I'm glad you are enjoying them in the way and sincerity which they were made. I love you! ((Hugs))
Oh, thank you for visiting again. I do have many happy songs. It's just with my moms current condition I've been working in going through old home videos so my sisters, family and friends can remember mom how she use to be. My mom has Alzheimers and cancer and after a long 5 year stuggle has recently become incoherant.
Sorry, that was more than you probably wanted to know. blush... Thank you again, you're very kind! :)
Not at all Carol. As musicians, these kinds of tests we are faced with, whether they be unfortunate or enlightening, create the escense of what our music means to others and within ourselves. As musicians, this is the voice we are given and how we share our emotions. Sometimes a smile can easily express our happiness and sometimes only a personal song can explain our love and our pain.
A moving and well-made tribute to your home, Carol Sue. I know my parent's home will be a sad loss when it's no longer in the family as it has been since my Great Grandparents owned it. I'll likewise never see the inside of my departed Grandparents' house again, but the memories will be with me the rest of my life, just like your memories will be with you. 8-)
You are a very kind man. Memories are a precious thing aren't they. Hoping to not be afflicted with Alzheimers like my mom. I do cherish the memories so very much. Bless you, your family and your memories.
This one probably one of the hardest to watch...yet pushing back the tears, think I'll cry tomorrow...but I best go quickly less I cry today. You did a precious gem of a job Carol.
I know how you feel. This one thus far has been the hardest video for me to make. Between laughing and crying most of the way through. Even watching again it just gets me.
Beautiful Tribute Carol Sue. 55555s all the way. It made me cry. The love of family, friends, and God will always fill the spaces we live. And the only thing that made that house a home was Love. God Bless.
Lovely video Carol Sue, your memories are quite plain to see for everyone watching, a lovely touch with the broom, enough said, my fav of yours so far :)
Thank you so much Paul! I had Vic video tape the broom and turning the key knob the other day so that wasn't done at my moms house but it's what kept going through my mind when making the video. Hope to learn more about video making and get to doing some of our collaborations in music video format soon! Now...if I can quit making the videos I can get that other track recorded for us! haha...
