Seriously, i really want hawaii to LEAVE the WAC Like right now, cause it gives us bad reps everytime we go Nationals... And i think hawaii should recruit more players that are over the height of 6'0, better advantage well have against teams like mebraska and penn state.

Penn State is good... But I don't think the next years are going to be too golden for them.

Few teams get their own reign of victories, but NOBODY is always a winner.

Stanford used to do well, Long Beach used to do REALLY well too, and now they're just teams we would say are "good".

I would reluctantly have to say that Penn State's reign is about to be over.

But they could surprise us, and win another National title. Who knows?

We'll just have to find out!

Hawaii needs another outside hitter just as powerful as Danielson. Furthermore, when is Hawaii ever going to get their pass together consistently to give our setter better choices for an attack. Hope to see how the wahine do and hope they do even better than semis at nationals.

i wonder how hawaii is gona do next season, they lost like two thirds of their pro players that got them far AND they lost the assistant coach (transfered to head coach for womens at UCLA) so i think hawaii is going to be not very strong next year, they have to rebuild, but its ok, hawaii will stay strong.

Hawaii has a great recruiting class coming in 2010, one of the best in years. Mike Sealy, their Assistant Coach is now Head Coach at UCLA, but Scott Wong is the new Assistant Coach with lots of experience on the national and international level. Hawaii's 2010 team will be even better!

i dont think so. Pennstate would have had Cubi-Otineru's in check. Blaire brown was also al over Danielson.

I also have to add that Hawai'i would've had a better chance if Aneli Cubi-Otineru's knee was healthy and she could jump serve. She would've killed penn state with her jump serve since they only pass with 2 players. and if penn state used dorton or quilico to pass to have 3 passers, then she would go at them and would still get the ace or a bad pass.

The up ref was absolutely HORRIBLE in the match, I was there so it was really ugly to see first hand. 2nd row behind Hawaii bench. I love both teams PSU and the Wahine, I'm a Texas fan though, god the final was amazing, congrats to PSU for pulling it out. Destinee Hooker put Megan Hodge to shame, love you Megan but you played like shit! Sorry.

Hawaii has a very young team, led by 2 super-sophomores (Kanani Danielson and Stephanie Ferrell), and a very dynamic freshman MB in Brittany Hewitt...they will be dangerous in the years to come that's for sure!!!

Love both Hawaii and PennState!!!!!

Ferrell doesn't lead Hawai'i, its mostly Danielson and Cubi-Otineru. i agree, they will be a favorite next year. although they lose seniors Amber Kaufman and Aneli Cubi-Otineru, they will be good. Alexis Forsythe can replace Kaufman. Corinne Cascioppo might replace Otineru, or Chanteal Satele (transfer from st. mary's) might if she walks-on to the team.

Yeah!!! PSU 3-peat CHAMPS! It was an unbelievable match! PSU was behind 2 sets, but they fought back and came away w/ the win! Hats off to Texas for bringin their game. But u have to give it to PSU for not giving up! Woohooo!

danielson did a pancake earlier and they never give the point to hawaii!!! its not in the highlight video though. hawaii got that point taken from them.... the reff did so many calls against hawaii!

HAWAII did a really good job considering no blocks. i think if they had blocks, and kanani was on it, it would've been a five-set match, and hawaii end up winning.

& hawaii and penn state will probably be in the title match next year.

HAWAII probably will be champs.

hawaii has one of the top recruiting classes for the year 2010, in emily hartong and kaela goodman from cali. They'll be a force to be reckon with

actually the facial came in set 4 (unseen in the vid) off of Brown's noggin. But Glass got her share, six-packed badly by Otineru back in Hawaii in 2008 to start that season.
