I can imagine the game trailer already; you are standing on what seems the remnants of what was a war zone. There are banners of the Lunar Republic and the Solar Empire laying on the ground, tattered, shredded, covered in blood. It's dark and it's raining and lighting strikes, we see the silhouette of our hero (your very own OC) staring at the horizon, wondering "When did this get out of hoof?" and.... that's pretty much it.

@Elusive7thElement I'm a game designer. I can tell you right now it would be exceedingly difficult to integrate decent gameplay mechanics into a game set in the MLP universe. In addition, an mmo requires massive amounts of time, energy, marketing, and capital to actually put together. I doubt you'll ever see any MLP games outside of fighters and race games.
