I was fortunate to get free tickets to this show from my wife's boss. Funny thing is I didn't even know who they were when we got the tickets. I wish I did because now they are breaking through as my #1 favorite band of all time. I was uber-impressed by the show and look forward to their next one in ATX.
I am a frequent viewer of Austin City Limits. I was already a fan of the Arcade Fire before I saw them on the show. I was speechless when I saw it, it was amazing! If anyone has the original copy of that show please let me know. It would mean so much to me to see it again! You guys were so lucky to see that show!
Lost my dvr due to meltdown.Had Austin City concert was the best. The intro and how they took the stage that night was fucking incredible would someone who has it please post it from the show because that version of Black Mirror is the fucking best.
I watched this on Austin City Limits and I could feel the amazing energy coming through. I could tell something amazing was going on between the band & the audience. It was truly a fabulous experience to watch.
@jazzzbaby I can feel the amazing energy just through this little youtube video, I can't imagine what it would have been like to be there. I still haven't had a chance to take "See Arcade Fire Live" off my bucket list.
your comment made me scour through my dusty tapes to retrieve some footage I took from the show. you can view 'No Cars Go' on my channel if interested. peace - LD
yeah I agree this was definately the best concert I've EVER been to. We waited for nine and a half hours (and put up with Blue October)but it was definitely worth it ro be in the front row(on the right barricade)! I was lucky enough to get the set list afterwards.
This was the second best show I've seen! Daft Punk at Lollapalooza 2007 takes the cake for the best, in case you're wondering. I was about 10th row and was howling the lyrics to every song and dancing out of control to every song. Some people who taped might've seen me since they must've been up close like I was to get such great video. I'm 6'4", was wearing a Daft Punk t-shirt, and have dark brown/black hair.
so i was on the front row..as in up against the railing and i swear i think i see myself towards the end in the right hand side of the screen.. i had my hair on top of my head..so i was kinda obvious.
with that said.
that was the best live show i've ever been to in my life.. it was moving in ways i can't explain! so worth waiting 9.5 hours for.

I waited over 8 hours just to be in the front for Arcade Fire. Their set was one of the most moving experiences of my life.
