@oliverjon80; Realtime. The game's fast, requires some skill to play (especially true if you want to get the collectibles and unlock extras) and it's a total blast to play.

Don't underestimate it because of the minimalistic graphics, it's one of the best videogame in ages. My only complain about it was the lenght since it's fairly short to complete.

Actually, when you think of it, the game name makes sense for more than one reason. There are 6 crewmates whose names start with the letter V, the map calls your location "Dimension VVVVVV", there are tons of spikes and the letter V looks like a spike. Also, 5 dollars for a game that takes at least 500 deaths on the first try, has quite a few optional challenges and has a level editor (and bonus levels by people who used it) is actually a pretty good deal.
