3) I never realized how beautiful Germany may seem in comparison to other counteries, so it's always nice to hear a foreigner speak fondly of his trips here. We just love to be good hosts, in all respects (probably where the overly-organized strain stems from).

4) Might be because I'm of a younger generation, but we're really working on our English and it's becoming better, imo. Baby steps... ;D

5) The Ausschwitz thing is true though, I can SO see that happening. We need to let go, just a bit...

I love this bit, could watch it over and over and it never gets old.

Here's some of my thoughts (as a German) on the things Garrett adresses:

1) Germany should definitely chill, at least when it comes to applying for/filling out forms, itineraries etc. But then again, the weather is cold enough as it is, so... ;-)

2) Bonn wasn't the capital in 1996 anymore, not for 6 years. Some of the administrative branches remained there though, and still do, to this day. It's a slow process...
