if most christian churches are in error by worshiping god on sunday , where do you go to worship on saturday ? either you are jewish or sda ?

@rev6litre - As Yahweh instructed, I keep the Sabbath holy to the Lord and celebrate the seven annual Feasts of Yahweh as best I can.

I'm part of a Messianic group who accept all of Scripture while turning awaqy from the teachings and traditions of Man, as best we can.

They did that because they wanted to distance themselves from the Jews. The 1st Word(commandment) is just a statement, vs.2. Again, test this with 2 witnesses that know the original text.

If you read Deuteronomy you will see that it explains all for us and when Yahshua came the feasts in Deut ended until the new Jerusalem arrives. and right at the end of ecclesiastes the teacher warns us about to many writings(ie.paul, luke, timm,titus, even John and Peter are not stable, only Matthew James and Jude,Law and Prophets

So true. YHVH said not to follow anyone who does signs and wonders who then tries to lead us to follow other gods, we are being tested by YHVH. Instead we are to love YHVH and follow His commands. This was true in the Torah and stands today, as Yeshua said He did not come to do away with Torah, nor did He lead us away from YHVH or the commands. Yeshua is YHVH, He does not contradict Himself. Did Paul keep the Sabbath? Yes!

Did Paul keep all the other commandments? Yes he did!

What verses say that after the resurrection Paul rested on the 7th day? The Sabbath is a day and an entire year, where people do not work, no food can be gathered, no one can travel more than a quarter mile, etc... Jesus claimed he worked on the Sabbath. None are to judge Jews who keep the Sabbath, which was part of the covenant between Israel and God. If the Sabbath were a big todo, there would be passages about keeping it. There are only passages, not to judge people about it. God Bless You

I am speaking about in the New Testament.. BTW~Worshipping on the 1st day began with the Apostles themselves, after the resurrection of Christ. Jesus, God in the flesh, created a new covenant. Every covenant made by God is always working up to the next. The commandments to keep are very clear in the NT.... and none of which are keeping the day & year of rest. I would love to peek in on these Sabbath keepers, to see if they cook, lite fires, use electricity, lift, travel, etc...on the Sabbath.

Do you love God the way Jesus said you should?

For if you do not (which i believe is true; based on your comments), should you then stop completely trying to love God?

@hottamale02 I can see that you are a man of great knowledge and that you have a form of godliness and know many things; however in this very important truth ( keeping the commandments which includes keeping the Sabbath (7th) day holy), you are in error. Please study this more and see the truth for what it is. Paul said, do we then nullify the law, God forbid! We uphold the law! Read psalms 119 and you can see the importance of keeping TORAH! His commandments are forever! Grace riding is sin!

From Genesis to Revelations. There is no way to conclude other thing.

It is important thus to understand each commandment, its purpose and ask God for chinging our hearts so that we can obey them in a way that pleases Him.

Uh, there are many verses that say the contrary in the NT - especially regarding to the Gentiles. 2nd Corinthians 3 is just one example. Also, the commandments spoken of in Revelation are detailed in John's letters.

Since I only quoted from Scripture, you are saying that God contradicts Himself.

I think it is more likely that you do not understand that Paul kept the law as Christ kept the Law and we too should follow Christ and keep the Law.

Don't be confused, we are not under the Law but under the Spirit by Faith.

But that in no way means we should forget the Law and fail to uphold the Law.

Gentiles were NEVER told to observe the Torah. Only the Hebraic-Christians of the 1st century did. Find me writings outside Scripture that says that the Gentiles kept the Torah.

There are not "gentile's" in the flock... Once they believe they are grafted IN TO THE TREE through Messiah.

There are only 12 tribes and 12 gates into the city, there isn't a special one for the nations.

Revelation 22:14

Context... Look at the verses around that one.

He's not saying that's the Only commandment... He's just pointing out that they were to do those things. Read this whole book.

faxchase, you made so many good points. One caught my eye that I just wanted to elaborate on. "Read this whole book"... Good advice. I have found in the past several months that when I read a sentence here and a sentence there, esp. in the letters, it can be hard to understand. But when I read a LETTER - from start to finish - and in light of what our Savior said - it all flows.

As a rule: If something SEEMS to disagree w/what our Messiah said - read it again. In context, as you said. :)

It is in context. John is clearly telling us the commandments, which is believing in Jesus Christ and loving one another. It says nothing about observing the torah.

Look at what he says in his next letter:

2John 1:5-6

"And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. And this is love, that we WALK AFTER HIS COMMANDMENTS. This is the commandment, That, as ye have HEARD FROM THE BEGINNING, ye should WALK IN IT."

I know it's difficult to find the path but that's because the deceiver is doing after his nature.

Jesus Christ is the AUTHOR of the Torah - the Word in the flesh. Why would JC speak against his own Word? Psalm 119:160 says God's law is ETERNAL. Do you believe God's Word??
