What ever happened to Kent?..I only recall seeing him in this movie and Bachelor Party. He and Billy Zabka were the 80's classic antagonistic movie villians!!...We need more character actors like them in today's movies...
One of the funniest scenese in the movie! Thanks for uploading this. Also, did anyone notice Chris missing a shoe on his left foot while they were waiting for Kent to pass out?
THIS IS JESUS KENT,...and you've been a very NAUGHTY BOY!. Classic! They just don't make college films like this anymore. Classy comedy without a bunch of genital jokes, profanity, and half-naked co-eds everywhere. (okay, so I don't mind the last part, but you get the picture right?)
Man, I would have LOVED to have seen this in a theater. I don't have that luxury now. It doesn't seem like there are any more classics left. I wish I could take a time machine to 1976 and watch Rocky or Star Wars in a theater. I can only imagine the euphoria associated with watching Real Genius in a packed theater with people who like to laugh. :D
@Rayvn7 That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. When Star Wars was first released in 1977, it was too new to be a pop-culture meme.
And it was *insanely popular.* I remember my parents recounting stories about how they went to see it in the theater multiple times, over a period of several weeks, and the theaters were *packed* every time!
@Rayvn7 Most of everything storywise follows a certain pattern. Hero overcomes obstacle(s) to achieve a goal is basically the framework for most stories and movies.
I think putting star wars' popularity down to pop culture is to ignore just how groundbreaking the movie was at the time. It blew people away...hence it's success.
@crittoprrr The Loft in Tucson, AZ shows this sometimes on Classics Night. It's awesome to see classic movies on the big screen again especially with a croud that knows and loves the movies and their kids who might be seeing it for the first time.
Chris and the other students were seeking revenge on Kent for displaying Mitch's phone call to his mom on the p.a system in the school cafeteria. Chris and the others took Kent's car apart and reinstall it in Kent's room inevitably leaving grease prints on the wall. Even with taking the car apart, how they were able to fit that car in his room is beyond me. The hood alone is bigger than the door.
This was after he smudged the lens for the laser with ink to undermine Val Kilmer; he had it on his hands since earlier in the day. Also, he had his car in the room earlier in the movie, so it could also be engine grease.
I remember this, I was on a trip with friends and someone brought this movie and a DVD player. Unfortunately it was 8 hours a day of driving for a week.
I was hot and hungry!

@ 3:12, the handprints on the wall seem to start from the desk and end smearing down to the bed. Evidence of a past brain meltdown?
Otherwise I vote for... jello-prints!

If he was so smart he should have realized that there is no god.
The first thing you do is go up to someone else and ask them if they hear it too. If they don't then you're just insane.
Still a great movie though.

@ScaryGuy255 a lil late here but...if its speakers from his braces, wouldnt it mean that other people might hear the muted version of it?

@frostfang1 braces are antenna, mouth is speaker :)

Reminds me of the scene in back to the future I where Marty is trying to convince his father to go after his future mother.
